i'll probably get hammered for saying this...but i've always liked the way this kid plays. if he can add a bit more bulk and strength, he reminds me a lot of an LT type of rb. he's got great hands out of the back field and great acceleration as well as breakaway speed. i'd always thought he was a victim of jeff bowden's offensive ineptitude.
if he's available late in the 1st round or early 2nd with our pick from the skins, i say we should take a chance on him. and we can use the other combo of 1st and/or 2nd rounders for that complimentary mauler OL and CB.

booker is great, and hes the reason Leon Washington never carried the full load at FSU. but only way id think about signing him is if he showed he could put on more weight.

after the combine though people will see he has 4.3 speed and tests very well.

he'll go in the late 1st or 2nd rd. i wouldnt want him though. we can address other needs and if people thought that only leon was a 3rd down change of pace back, this kid will epitomize it in the pro's unless he can put on some serious weight.

i think your thought on his draft position is accurate. i also think it depends on what you consider "serious" weight. if he can add another 15-20 lbs, imo, he should be just fine.
don't we have 2 2nd rounders for this draft? if so, and he's still available with our 2nd rounder from the skins, i'd say it's a no brainer to pick him up. that way we still have our 1st and other 2nd to pick up other needs with solid players.

In my opinion he won't go that high. I really want to draft him as well, but he just hasn't produced enough in college to be a high pick in my opinion.

my issue moreso lies in his weight, the O-Line at FSU is a complete joke and has been since Greg Jones left.

plus the playcalling by jeff bowden, and you know now why leon fell to the 4th.

booker will skyrocket on boards come combine, i expect a 4.35 40 and amazing measurables.

thing is hes a poor mans reggie bush who doesnt run as tough. but hes a complete playmaker.

hard to say, he should definitely be able to put on the weight though hes a good 5 ft 11 if not 6 ft.
