started snowing here a short while ago and all that was once shoveled or blacktop yesterday is now white again
Same here by the coast in Brooklyn; not as heavy as last week but everything is covered again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Initial heavy thump now a steady snow. Radar looks like it clears around 430. Probably looking at 3-4” . Not good. Killing the rest of rabbit season.
It's been snowing all day in western Connecticut. Looks like 3-4" has landed already and still going. The local response has been kind of muted. Have not seen a plow go by all day and we've got a solid 3" on the roadway. I'm guessing it's a combination of Sunday and the local budget getting busted by last week's action. They're likely waiting for the snow to stop this evening before they plow.
I'd rather that our plow guys would wait for the storm to end. Their game plan seems to be, "Let's give the homeowners time to finish clearing the mouth of their driveway, then we can toss the heavy compacted snow right back on top." When they really set their minds to it, they can sometimes throw the snow from the street all the way up onto the sidewalk that I just finished clearing.
I did a ton of shoveling today. As some of you know, we put our house on market and looking to buy a new house. A couple insisted seeing our house this morning at 11 am and that meant shoveling for me early morning. Went out twice before 11 AM and not sure about the total snow but it was plenty for me to hate CBG and curse at his ancestors who put the snow loving gene in him. Good news, we got an offer for our house today. Waiting for the second good news of the day. Will our offer be accepted for the house we want to buy. Pull for me today guys. Oh, also can Brady please lose? Fucking hate this guy.
Looks like it’s finishing up here, got 1.5, maybe 2” at most. Very happy! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
About 2” here. Roads covered quickly and then cleared once treated. Ended being a bust for us and I’m happy. We need to lose some of this so the dog can run.
Snow breaks out in the middle of the night tonight sometime after 2 am,,,,,goes til noon tomorrow maybe and hour or 2 later,,,,,2-4 for most areas is a good guess with a little begging and whispering maybe we can somehow get 3 - 6 out of this but my app and the National Weather Service says Madison gets buried,,,,,thoughts ?
14 degrees where I am right now. That's really cold for western Connecticut, even in February, even with the polar vortex broken down again. Not looking forward to the snow we have coming down starting later this morning. We already have two storms on the ground and the chilly weather has turned that into iron ice in record time.
