Finished with what seems to be close to 20+ at my house in Bergen County. Garden state parkway was absolutely flawless on my way to work this morning. Rt 17 and Rt 3 were meh. Rt 3 way worse than 17.

Upside is that we got the word from Upper Mgmt. that our trucks don't roll in more than 6in snow period. Had a few paid days off and didn't have to use any EPO/VAC time! Let it snow!!! :)

Same here I am in Fair Lawn NJ we had around that amount. Thank God for snow blowers because I would be dead if I had to shovel. Was on 17 about 12:30 and its fine now. Side streets in Ramsey are shit though.

Sunday Monday. Small system with snow to rain Friday...so that's a baby.

    The EURO is saying this
    Blizzard of 96
    Very cold temps
    Northern Florida...umm 15 degrees.
    Tennessee zero?
triple merge? Polar.northern.southern stream create a monster.
Record breaking temps from Green bay to Tampa Bay but Tampa may not get record until well after game.

Gfs? Just misses the phase but still solid storm
Euro is blizzard of 96 heavy snow with temps in mid teens and wind chills below zero

Will keep an eye but something is coming.

Done. 24 hours plowing , 6 hours sleep last 48 hours. Don’t how much I ended up with but it was a lot. Need it to pack down the next 4 days so I can get the beagle out in the field Sunday. Way too much for her to work in right now.

Where the heck is my response lol. I guess I wanted the world to see cbg post again.
Major differences in models. Gfs showing not much at all and euro has a monster sitting right on the 40/70 benchmark.
But several euro ensembles show a gfs like outcome.
So a bit up in the air right now but tomorrow is t minus 4 so expect a model to lean towards another.
    Gut feeling is this:
There is a ton of gasoline surrounding Sunday Monday. You have some of the coldest temps of the year for you guys and in a decade for us southern folk sitting up in Canada heading south along with a strong disturbance cutting through the center of the country.
One model says they hook up another model says not my type.
These polar dumps that see a storm are rarely wasted. Still think something huge to come.

    Lol. Lol. Could be sir!
OK...they kind of dropped it so let's clarify. I'm getting my polar vortex mixed up with my Superbowl event...so let's break this down
There are a total of 3 threats. One is predictable...one is uncertain but seems like nothing huge regardless and one is the triple threat...so let's put them on the schedule.
First threat: Friday...clipper like storm that stays west of you guys meaning warm air will win... And not much precip. So snow to mix to rain.
    Second threat:
Sundayish weaker setup than the original but still chance of snow Sunday...could change...but not as of now.
    Third threat:
Biggest threat...Tuesday to Thursday. Noreaster type setup but all depends on where they come together. Several models want to bring the low right over the coast which would be heavy snow and then heavy mix even inland. Hmmm...not buying that.
Bottom line is the humdinger is the last threat AS OF NOW.
    And it has real potential.
    Hope it makes sense.

Jayster, you are a very wise man. in other news when people continually show you who they are,,,,BELIEVE THEM. As far as Sunday I think we have to give the models a chance and some more time because as you said there is lots going on out here and there so let's wait n see before anyone writes them or me off.
