Right, most of this post doesn't even need to be said, it has nothing to do with cutting Goff after a year or 2. I fully understand why they got the first for his contract, I don't need it explained to me again tbh. The conversation was will they or won't they draft a QB this draft, I say no you say otherwise. I say seems odd to pay a guy a load of cash to not play, you seem to think otherwise. I also, didn't say Goff was a QB to build around either it we want that truth out there. I didn't think it was that hard a conversation to follow but yeah that last post is a whole mish mash of fluff. Let's just forget about it as I really couldnt give a fuck about the lions or Goff tbh.
It was a little bit of English sarcasm my friend just echoing the sentiment posted on here. He isn't as good as his wage that's for sure.
exactly and since his salary is guaranteed the only way for the rams to get rid of it is to trade him to a team willing to pay it.
the lions whole point of moving stafford was to take a QB. they wanted to move up from 7 (according to reports). bundle picks to get up higher in the draft, seems like their GM knows who they want and thinks they wont be there at 7. Goff is a 1 year stop gap so the rookie can sit and learn as they build a team around him.
Right for the last time as it is my opinion only... Seems fucking silly to me to pay a guy all that money for nothing and then after cutting him after 1 year giving yourself a 15m cap hit when the cap will possibly be reducing as well. That was my point really and also when we started this discussion there wasn't any reports out there and most certainly not in the UK. Consider it closed now.
like when the browns paid all that money for brock oswiler to cut him a day later? that's part of the trade. rams are short on cap room. needed to trade goff to get another QB so had to give up capital for someone to take on his bad contract.
