I just measured 7 inches on my deck, and it's still coming down pretty good.

I am in northern New Jersey, a couple of miles from MetLife Stadium.

In my youth, I used to look forward to days like this.

I used to call the office first thing in the morning, throw my skiis in my truck, and head up to Hunter Mountain.

    Not so much anymore.

Just picked up again here in Jersey City. Started snow blowing and shoveling around 430
We are probably in close proximity of each other. It wasn't awful this morning around 430 when I got to work . Fired up the snow blower and cleaned the parking lot so my trucks could get out, but it just started coming down pretty strong again. Might wait another hour or two and get back in the parking lot for another round.

Shush or Madison will get even more as Fjay dances naked on his plow while I whisper even more quietly

First off right now it is NOT heavy at all very lite n fluffy ( at least by me it is ) but I would stay on top of it and go out there periodically and take care of it because the storm is not even started yet if anything it is just beginning and no lie and JAY or FJAY or someone else can correct me but again IMO I think most of the accumulations we got last night and even this morning can be added to the snow maps because that was just a bonus,,,,,most of us unless you live down the jersey shore by Toms River are going to get BURIED,,,,,,my buddy in LI says he has 7 or 8 inches already and again IMO this storm is already over performing and snow totals will be stupid high. Brook some models have this going until tomorrow nite others have it ending Wed,,,,,,,the heaviest stuff should be done by tonight but no one can tell you when and also no one knows how much the heaviest bands will produce thats why the predictions in my opinion again are conservative and wrong,,,thats all I got , I need to go back to whispering buddy

I am just off Route 17, north of Route 3. My girlfriend work in Jersey City for the HBLR.

I shoveled at 6AM, when I had maybe 4 or 5 inches. I just shoveled again a few minutes ago, and it was also about 4 or 5 inches.

I just measured 9 inches on my deck. It's still coming down.

Bust potential above 84. Don’t want to butt heads with Jay but seems to me the cold dry air is eating these heavy bands up. Early , and I bailed on this storm too early last week but I feel like I’ve seen this set up before. I think I stay in the 6-12 range

No butting heads my friend. The only thing I would say right now us this....future cast shows tomorrow at this time snowing everywhere. Of course lighter in spots. I would just see where you are at midnight tonight. Very possible you are correct. But these heavy bands dump...then relocate...dump....relocate. Wherever the cold dry air is winning ....it will lose eventually.

In fact fjf I was watching a heavy band that was fighting to get into ramapo nj...nj NY border. Dried up. Just checked...heavy snow in ramapo. You could be right. Fight might be too long. Midnight tonight.

...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM EST THIS
    AFTERNOON...
...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING
    TO 3 AM EST TUESDAY...
...COASTAL FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
    TUESDAY AFTERNOON...

    * WHAT...For the first Coastal Flood Warning, two to two and a
half feet of inundation above ground level expected in
vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline. For the
second Coastal Flood Warning, two and a half to three feet of
inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near
the waterfront and shoreline. For the Coastal Flood Watch, up to
two foot of inundation above ground level possible in
vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline.

    * WHERE...Southern Queens and Southern Nassau Counties.

    * WHEN...For the first Coastal Flood Warning, until 3 PM EST this
afternoon. For the second Coastal Flood Warning, from 8 PM this
evening to 3 AM EST Tuesday. For the Coastal Flood Watch, from
    late tonight through Tuesday afternoon.

    * COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Widespread MODERATE to locally MAJOR
FLOODING of vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline
tonight. Expect 2 1/2 to 3 feet of inundation above ground level
in low lying, vulnerable areas tonight. This will result in
numerous road closures and cause widespread flooding of low
lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and
homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront. Vehicles
parked in vulnerable areas near the waterfront will likely
become flooded. Water levels tonight will likely be comparable
to water levels reached in the February 9th 2016 Nor'Easter.

Coastal flooding will likely begin well before high tide tonight
and may not subside until after high tide Tuesday afternoon in
    some spots.

    * SHORELINE IMPACTS...Large breaking waves of 5 to 10 ft for
multiple tidal cycles will result in significant beach erosion
and flooding, with areas of dune erosion likely. Localized
washovers are possible resulting in some flooding of roadways
and vulnerable structures behind protective dunes.

    * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Coastal flooding will likely begin well
before high tide tonight and may not subside until after high
tide Tuesday afternoon in some spots. Tuesday Moderate coastal
flooding likely with the Tuesday morning high tide, and minor to
locally moderate possible with Tuesday night high tide.

    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If
travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through
    water of unknown depth.

Just finished Rd 1 with the snowblower here in Fair Lawn, NJ. We have over a foot easy. Glad I went out as I won't be as buried tomorrow.
