I think the lions are the morons. Goffs contract is insane. You know that front office is high fiving each other about how they got a steal for Goff.

The Rams won this trade 100%.

I think they absolutely are still in play to move up.

No way. The Lions had a guy that they literally told the world was not coming back. They got two first round picks out of it and a third. The Goff contract is awful but in two years they can save a ton by cutting him.

Those two 1sts are going to be late 1s with Stafford on the Rams.

Goff’s deal is one of the most atrocious things I’ve ever seen. They gave up 2 firsts for a big upgrade at QB and cap relief. That’s a win to me.

Riiight. I’m sure the Lions think the problem with Goff was the Rams and they can turn him back into the QB before he played in the Super Bowl and thus don’t need a QB.

Well, considering how much the Lions just got for Stafford, Watson's price tag is going to be even higher. The Jets better pass on that kinda deal.

It doesn’t matter what the Lions can do in two years with the contract it matters what the Rams can do in those two years with that contract gone and with Stafford. You have the reasoning backwards.

Now they have the capital to move up but who would they do it for?

This deal is not going to make JD any more likely to get taken to the cleaners. I'm sure he was always set on his price. Player are worth what another team is willing to pay, and no more.

You have no idea what those picks are going to look like. By 2023 the Rams could be awful.

The Lions (much like the Jets) don’t need cap space. The draft picks make this deal worth it for them.

Your window with Stafford is 2-3 years. In those years you’re not gonna add first round talent. I don’t think it’s a terrible deal for LA by any means but I think the Lions definitrly
So you’re implying that the Lions are going to move up to the second overall pick to draft a QB that won’t play for two years? Or they’ll bench a QB with a massive cap hit? That’s not reality.

Ok so now some of you may realize what Watson is going to net, realistically.

Only way now is if Watson demands only the Jets and no one else. Otherwise he’s not coming here anymore
