You would think Schefter would have tweeted something about it, no? I'm calling bullshit. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Do you fools really believe every assertion you read online written by some-serving, click needing schmuck?
Schefter has been giving that vibe ever since this started to really play out. He had that marvelous tweet about the Jets in the beginning, and then went straight downhill with the time he repeated about 8-10 times, "I wouldn't get your hopes up" to Greenie as he desperately tried to get Schefter to say something positive about Watson to the Jets. Mort made his opinion clear yesterday:
I saw this... but Mort was probably referencing the fact that Schefter DID include the Jets picture in his first tweet.
There's still no clip of Schefter or Mort saying that and Jets Twitter is psycho enough to find it ASAP. Nobody knows anything. Schefter, Mort, Rap, etc. didn't even know that Watson put in his trade request weeks ago.
It’s simple; if the Jets offer is significantly better than any other offer he’ll be a Jet or a Texan. If the Jets offer is comparable to other team’s offers the Texans will settle on the team Watson prefers.
Yea the guy was basically caught lying. Jets Twitter did it's thing and rewatched all of ESPN's programming this morning and yesterday morning....
Houston has their team pastor calling the shots and Easterby is calling player's mommas when they don't respond to his texts. Not all tar pits are the same.
I still only think the Jets or Dolphins are the only realistic trade partner. They will have to take a QB to replace Watson. Picking at 2 or 3 allows them to replace Watson. Maybe Carolina at 8th overall could be a trade partner but they'd empty their entire war chest so I don't know how realistic that is.
