At this age, in these times, I think I would prefer he get traded elsewhere ASAP over getting traded here in April. So I welcome a closed thread!
Oh all we have to do is draft an elite QB and nail the other two first rounders? Shit if I had known it was that easy... Bingo.
123 pages, nobody has an original thought left in their head at this point. Well bar the odd few who start a new thread to be seen
Here I'll fix it. Nearly half the SBs the last decade were won by QBs drafted in the 5th round or lower. That shows without a doubt the 5th round is the most important draft position for QBs.
I know your being facetious but to be fair most of the time the best QB isn't the 1st one taken in the draft. It's very likely someone like mac jones or lance or wilson turn out to be the best QB in the class
I see what angle he's going for, but he's also right. Anyone who says "Watson might be a little bit better than" any QB not named Patrick or Aaron is an idiot.
Well, of course there a better chance that ONE of the remaining QBs will have a better probability of being successful. For example, let's say Lawrence probability of success is 50%, Wilson and Fields 35% each, Lance 30%, Jones 25%, Trask 20%. Then probability of EITHER one of non Lawrence QB succeeding is 88%, while Lawrence's is still only 50%, so yeah chances are higher for the rest COMBINED. The problem with this argument is that unfortunately you can only pick one. And that one will have lower probability of success than Lawrence.
I can imagine the Texans ownership being like "If we hire one of these guys, Watson will definitely want to come back!" and Watson being like .
Any new coach taking over a down team and who also has a five year contract wants to build his own program. Any GM who is influenced by the media, talk shows or we fans has a death wish.
