I'm good. Actually went into business with a few friends and have been super busy getting it going. Working lot of hours and haven't had a lot of time. Thanks for asking. With the horrible season it's been really hard to watch the games in my free time. Hopefully Saleh can really jumpstart this team.
I don't think Darnold sucks. I think he has had a bad 3 seasons and needs a change of scenery. I think a lot of the nfl feels the same. A new HC may help him, a real HC. Saleh might be able to do that. But a whole new change could really help. The Saints makes sense for this, wouldn't be the first time they took on the task (Brees). So I could see them be willing to spend a first/second to get it done. As for us, with it being Saleh's first year as HC, and our bad history with QBs, I completely understand most people's desire for a proven QB.
Watson is a long shot. We should be talking about which QB to dradt to replace the awful Sam Darnold. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
The GREAT Watson won 4 games with a better roster So next year we can go from 2 to 4 wins after losing all those prime picks? my god people are insane build it right
How many games do you think Houston wins with Darnold? I'm going to say ZERO. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
I don't see this "better" roster. Our defense was better. Our o-line was arguably better. He had slightly better weapons. The thing is with him here and our cap space (2nd most in nfl vs Texans negative 20 million) means we can sign better free agents and they will want to come here. Even if we trade say 2 first + Darnold + whatever. We still have picks and cap to build around him. If we get a top receiver in FA, edge rusher, and a running back I think we become better easily.
Oh right sorry. So how about we trade for Watson and then send Darnold, Quinnen Williams, and three more first rounders to Jacksonville for Lawrence. Then have Watson and Lawrence duke it out in a cage match and trade the loser to New England for Bill Belichick.
thats your opinion but his roster wasnt very good and we had Mims, Crowder, Herndon, Q and Big ticket with a horrible coach and won 2 games. Also we have the draft and 80m in cap to improve so this rationale doesnt make much sense because roster wise we will have a better team and coaches next year.
Am I missing any false arguments against trading for Watson 1 - he’s only arguably a top 5 qb. 2 - the jets cannot build a winning team without 4 first round picks in the next 2 drafts. 3 - the jets wont have any draft picks or cap space if they trade for Watson 4 - Watson only won 4 games with a more talented roster/coaching than the jets will have next year. 5 - you can’t have a consistent contender while paying a top qb.
If JD can get Watson for that you have to do it. No sane GM would have turned down a Jamal Adams and a first for Watson trade before the season.
Would love to know what part of their roster was so much better? please tell us and dont list the injury prone WRS he made look good while running for his life with one of the worst Olines and his Defense was horrible with an aging JJ watt. Please tell us more
Again I say, show us this better roster... Our defense was better. Our o-line was better. So you basing it on the WR? If so let's do this. Put Darnold throwing the ball to those receivers and tell me they look better. Put Watson with our receivers... again I think you are mistaken. Add to that if Watson is here players like A. Robinson and R. Sherman would want to come here. We have 80 million in cap space and they have -20 million. After the trade we will have plenty of draft capital left. So how is that team better? We also have what appears to be a good HC.
