Detroit and Stafford parting ways is huge for us in a bunch of different ways. First, it makes them a threat to trade up to two so if Houston wants their guy, they need to get up to two and not three. Second, if we don’t end up with Watson and we end up sticking with Sam, seven is a great place to trade back to.
It's exciting to see that Watson prefers us. I doubt the Texans would do it, but I would trade Darnold, our #2 and #23rd picks.

All it took was a hearsay twitter post to make the bulk of TGG invent an imaginary team that doesn't resemble reality very much. If it makes anyone feel better I seriously doubt the dolphins will make a big play for Watson. Even the bulk of their fans dont want to do it.
They would make a play but I do honestly doubt they would offer anything that could push them over the Jets best offer.
I agree. Although I could see the draw behind taking a guy you think could be a starter and using the 2nd pick on Sewell or Smith.
All I’m saying is the the Texans would absolutely want the 2 pick more than #3, so the Dolphins would have to offer more picks than the Jets to get it done. Without knowing exactly what they would offer, I do believe it would be quite substantial and thus push the Dolphins to a point I doubt they want to go to.

Maybe so? TBH I don't see the dolphins offering more then Tua, the 3rd pick, and a 2nd. I dont even think they would do that.
not sure on that one. Numbers now don’t compare to numbers when Marino was playing or Montana or even better still Bradshaw. In those days, DBs could maul WRs all day until the ball was thrown....QBs could get pummeled...there was no such thing as a defenseless receiver....and so on. numbers are only valid comparisons within their respective eras. When Bradshaw was winning Superbowls, top QBs had like 55% completion rates, average Offensive lineman weighed 265. different game completely. I don’t care if Montana or Marino or Fouts or Elway or Kelly ... or go back further to the Bart Starr’s and Len Dawson and Joe Namaths of the day....nine of those guys have the numbers that QBs today have....but they were just as great
