Not that it matters, but just for the record, he was never really the defensive leader of that team, but the LB coach thrown to the wolves over the last couple of weeks interim. Actually the much revered and now unemployed HC with his so called spectacular defensive mind, cough, cough, was the defensive leader of that team.

he's also young and a former player. ATL's defense looked better when he took over at DC after they fired their coach mid season. i like the hiring but laflaur excites me most from his staff

The difference from our last Hires was the 49ers Championship tradition and recent SB appearance Toilet Bowles and goofy Gase didnt have that I think
with garappolo at QB who is awful they won 13 games then beat the kirk cousins led vikings, then beat the aaron rodgers led packers to make a superbowl. garappolo won against 2 way better Qbs because the niners had a solid team overall

So, I know nothing about all those new names today. Someone please fill us in. I do like all the offensive coaches, but I assume there will be more defensive coaches to come. Karl Dunbar (a great DL coach and a former Jets' DL Coach) was available a day or two ago. I was hoping that Saleh would have hired him as DC or at least as DL Coach.
The report is that Jets are switching to 4-3, is that Saleh 4-3 scheme or Ulbrich 4-3 scheme? He said nothing about it during interview but he did say he was going to be involved with the whole team, ST, OC and DC.
