I wouldn't do Lawrence and two #1s for Watson, but I might trade Lawrence straight up for Watson. Lawrence is just a prospect after all. He's a great prospect, but he could wind up being a disappointment. We know what Watson is. That would allow the Texans to either take Lawrence, which would enable them to save face and ease the sting of losing Watson, or they could trade down for a bevy of picks and take Wilson or Lance. or Jones.

Well aside from a general increase stateside, the international endorsements that would become available as a NYC superstar are easily forgotten

Ordinarily yes, but if Watson wins the Super Bowl as a Jet, he'll the God-king of New York sports.

I don't think those comments rule out Watson at all.

The Falcons could give the Texans the #4 + Ryan + Jones.

Ryan is a year or two out from retirement. Jones not much further behind him and the #4 pick is still a premium pick.

That's the offer I'd take to Houston and stay with if I was the Falcons. However it's easy to forget that the Falcons just went 4-12 as well and there's no guarantee that Deshaun Watson returns them to playoff form.

That trade among other things would help solve the *Falcons* cap problems. It wouldn't gain them space on the year but Watson's cap numbers are better than Ryans, Jones and whatever the #4 costs this year. In 2022 they'd gain on the cap in a big way.

It's becoming increasingly clear to me that some of our posters don't give a damn about winning. I think they actually like losing. They're afraid of success. It's sad.

The Texans don't have cap space as it is. You think they'd be able to fit Ryan and Jones under their cap? No way. They're going to have to cut players as it is. I'm sure that they don't want older players either. They need to rebuild, so they would be looking for young players, not players at the end of their careers.

The Texans can’t afford either Jones or Ryan on their salary cap. Also the Falcons can’t really afford to trade either. It negatively effects their salary cap to trade them away.

The Texans have cap issues and already have a too much money invested in WRs. They wouldn't take on Jones and Ryan. I see them trading Jones to make up some picks they give Houston.

Laugh all you want, but I'm right much, MUCH more than you. You are out in left field with your wild and wacky ideas. You don't deal with reality most of the time.

You have no idea what I based my comments on, and since you're a such a jackass, I'm not going to tell you. I could care less what you think of my opinions.

He has to be looking at Atlanta as his perfect landing spot. 45 minute drive to the parents place, maybe a 30 minute chopper ride from start to finish counting the time it takes to spin up. He'd be going home for dinner every Sunday after church.

The cap problems in Atlanta are bad though. They'd need to trade a few cap hits in the process.

I did a few business trips to Atlanta in the late 90's early 00's. He'd need the chopper if I recall, brutal traffic on their 6 lane raceways.

I will say this if we give up 3 first and maybe 2/3 I would do it. For one we could then flip Sam for picks so that lessens the hit and you only get this kind of opp to change your entire team and org once in a blue moon. We would still have enough picks and if you trust JD we will be ok and FA signings.

They would have to do more than trade a few and it would have to be the top cap hits to even make it work. Who is taking on Ryan at that price and even as great as Julio is hes an aging WR not gonna happen easy I think they are out of the running tbh

It's forgotten because it's non-existent for football players. What international endorsements did Eli Manning gain after winning two SB's here? Or any guys on those Giants teams for that matter?

The NFL rules the football world. Aaron Rodgers has endorsements coming out of his ass in the 139th market in the country in terms of population size.

Your arguments are somewhat valid in basketball for Europe and specifically China and maybe to an extent in baseball in South America and the Korea's in terms of market size. But it really doesn't have an impact for NFL stars. NFL stars will get deals if they're good enough whether they're in the top media market or the bottom.

Someone said Lawrence is the best prospect they ever seen??? How old are you because that's saying a lot, hes really good don't get me wrong, but we have seen really good prospects absolutely do nothing in the NFL before so that doenst mean anything college is one thing the NFL is another. We know what Watson can do he is a stud and top 5 in the league. We don't know if Lawrence will even be top 5 in the league at all much less right off the bat.

I totally realize that he may not want to come here and that he is working the Texans.

Miami is NOT more likely. The main reason is that they don't have the cap space. They'd have to cut players just to be able to sign their draft class. They may also believe in Tua. In addition, Miami's #3 pick was the Texans. They got it from the Texans in the Laremy Tunsil trade. Texas would look really stupid basically trading Watson for Tunsil.

Yes if you are a great player your gonna get endorsements either way. But if you are really good and in the NY market and have the personality you could own it and make lots more
