i watched some of that. its pretty juvenile. maybe i got old too fast. Ilike this hire quite a bit and had hoped the news woulda been yesterday as many did. but that vid? silly.
My thoughts. Wasn’t on my top 3 but admittedly wasn’t looking at dc’s . Douglas got his guy and that it’s a good thing I like tapping into the shanahan tree and getting the next generation of ocs 5 year deal is a big thing, it gives him 2 free years with the next 2 big draft classes before the sharks start circling. I wouldn’t mind Boyer being retained. I think fields will be the pick at 2 Q Williams is going to be warren sapp like in a 4-3 Championship!
I am coming around SLOWLY to not drafting a QB at 2, but if we sit at 2 and draft a non QB without trading back, I will be LIVID.
2 free years?? we just gave Sam 3 free years? What's with the "free years?" FTS!! You wanna stink for 2 more years? FTS!!!
I feel ya. For me... QB HAS TO BE ADDRESSED. SOMEWHERE! Ideally, in the 1st round THIS YEAR. Unless you get Stafford.
Far better choice than a college HC who has never sniffed an NFL locker room. Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
I am not part of this whole “Sam Darnold can be fixed” camp. This is not the same kid the Jets drafted three years ago. He’s developed a lot of bad habits and his confidence is shot. Bringing him back is delaying the inevitable. While trading down is not a bad option from team building standpoint, do you really want to be the Colts and get KOd in round 1 every year? To ultimately win a super bowl you need a franchise QB.
Yea, If it had been smith or Daboll I could see them making a case for running back Sam one more time . Now with a young first time oc coming in, let’s just start fresh and build something.
CJ Mosley is gonna fuck shit up now! I am sure he is fuckin pumped to play next season. Jamal Adams is crying somewhere in Seattle. Should have waited one more year
We’re 2-14 and that’s 2 more than anyone thought we win, we have one of the 4 necessary positions filled to be a contender, maybe 2 I really like hall, and have 10 picks in the top 3 rounds the next 2 years. I don’t want to hear shit about firing anyone until November 2023 at the earliest.
I am of the belief the biggest problem last year was the OC and QB. Upgrade those two spots along with Perriman, Gore, and Van Roten. Watch how much this team improves.
you dont know wtf ur on about " Things are not looking so good for the Jets there, as the sportsbook has them set New York's over/under at 6.5 victories in 2020." we were 7-9 year b4. then gase/sam. no free years.
The qb is most likely going to be a rookie, the oc is going to be a rookie. Not sure how much of an upgrade that is going to be right out of the blocks.
