Some DO think that he is the best of that bunch ( Jeudy, Ruggs, Smith, Waddle) Time will tell. (Not agreeing or disagreeing)
I can't help but be reminded of the Gholston draft right now. iirc, there were five consensus top five picks, and sure enough, they came off the board. We picked at six, and I don't have to say any more about that. This year the #1 pick is head and shoulders above the field, with no clear #2. -- gulp--
Over the last few years, and I watch every jets game, crowder has dropped passes, frequent enough that I throw stuff at the tv. Anyone here feel same? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I agree. Take the stud LT since you cannot get Trevor. You have a 2nd first round pick for a stud WR. Since we won't have a top QB, the next best thing is a great OL. The browns are winning with a middle of the road QB and a GREAT line. Tennessee is winning with a very good line and an above average QB. Give darnold or the next qb some time to throw and maybe you have a chance at winning 8+ per year. And as a side note the last 2 times the jets were good they had great lines.
Nope, out of all the players on the team to slate Crowder would be fairly low on my list. The facts are, he dropped 4 chances this season and 6 last season, this does not factor in if they were easy/hard catches too make. https://www.playerprofiler.com/nfl/jamison-crowder/ So especially for this last season, you need to get your own hair-trigger temper under control before you bust your TV for fuck all edit and as for your video in reply to the other lad, he was refuting your claim of 'frequently' dropping passes, not he has never dropped a catch.
Thanks for the info. 10 is too many for my liking. And the one I posted was pretty egregious. I recall several others. I guess not as big an issue as I thought, but it is noticeable watching the games over the years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Almost all WRs drop passes occasionally. Very few never drop a pass. Yes, Crowder drops an occasional pass, but it is NOT a frequent problem for him.
I guess we can take solace in the fact that Fields would probably go #1 overall in several of the drafts over the last 10 years. I hear you though, I have the same bad feeling. With our history we need as many sure things as we can get and Lawrence was pretty much that.
Now that Meyer going to JAX, maybe he takes Fields first... you say there is chance? Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
0% chance unfortunately. Meyer was gone before Fields arrived at tOSU and Lawrence is just a better prospect anyway. Without a doubt. Meyer has raved about Lawrence in the past. I think he said he's the best college QB of all time.
Think of how it felt to hold onto the hope, week in, week out, that we would really go 0-16 and retain the #1 pick. It was so agonizing that it was actually a relief to me when that hope was finally shattered. Now you want me to keep hoping for three more months? Please no. I can't take it.
I would say less than 3%, not 0%. Ohio St ties go deep! If fields is the better fit for the O they want to run, there is chance... https://sports.yahoo.com/urban-plan...-at-all-for-justin-fields-at-1-201638004.html Not sure Lawrence was best college QB ever, but sure he was great, but Fields outplayed him by far at least one night. Saw some noticeable flaws in Lawrence’s game. Clemson is one of the best programs. JAX and NYJ are the worst. It won’t be same in NFL for him. At least Fields has elite athleticism that may help in first few years. Depends on the direction the JAX franchise wants to go. Meyer will be the czar there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If no Lawrence then trade down, pick WR, chase preferred over smith for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
i have to disagree with you. he reminds me of lam jones. going across the middle would be a suicide mission, because of his physical stature, he would spend too much time on the injury list. as tuna once said " you can't make the club from the tub "
Jamaar Chase intrigues me more than DeVonta Smith. He was the #1 WR over Justin Jefferson who was awesome this year.
I'm still in favor of taking a QB with their first pick - even if they trade back a couple spots, but I could be on board with this approach too.
I'm pretty sure the owner, Shah, has retained the right to pick players and he'll NEVER pass on Lawrence.
