Jets flying in Robert Saleh for second interview(Leaves without a Contract)

As easy as it is to get hyped, it may be that the Jets never intended to finalize an offer before finishing their search. The media likes to help create that narrative because it generates excitement but no one really knows. Or maybe Saleh went in knowing he would not accept any offer before meeting with his other teams.

Let’s pause the negativity train for a little while.

Doesn't change the fact we fucked Sam over with the worst two QB coaches in history for the last two seasons, two seasons he has regressed massively.

That is fact. The boy had promise and showed promise, Gase/Loggains and his special offence should never work in the NFL or college again for what they have done and don't forget what they also did to Tannehill.

Sam is cooked here but let's not put all the blame on his still young shoulders is what I was getting at.

 

First time gm is going to hire the first guy he interviewed in person without seeing anyone else? I mean, I wouldn’t.

On the same note, you’re in high demand , you’re not taking the first job you interview for. This isn’t some broke average Joe looking to land anywhere .

I know, that’s what I was trying to convey to fellow posters. He should be able to meet with other suitors and see what is the best fit for him as well.

Well, you kind of would expect that, he applied for it and then went across the country for two days of interviews.

Of course, there are other things to discuss before accepting an offer, wages, length of contract etc but what the hell have they been talking about for 2 days?

He has left without a deal or he said no and walked, it isn't a good sign imo
