I don't know.. I still don't get the infatuation with, Saleh. Even reading In this thread.. The best I've seen pointed out Is that he has had two years In the top 5 defensive metrics. I mean.. That doesn't really get me excited personally. Rex Ryan had how many years in the top 5 with his defensive units before becoming a HC? 6-7? I don't get It I guess. I'm trying to read about other things on the guy that would get me excited about potentially hiring him. So far, no good. More detail anyone? I'm not getting it.
I'm on board with Saleh, if it turns out to be him. Seems like a guy fans and players can get behind as a head coach, and as someone mentioned, has been effective in his job.
I'm with you. I think he seems like a good leader and our defense would improve but it's disheartening that we still might not realize the importance of offense. If we hire Saleh without some stellar offensive coaches coming with him I'll feel like we're still that idiot franchise that is stuck in the 90's. It's just shocking how far behind every prominent league trend we are.

Smart, passionate and detailed. I see a very good ALL PHASES leader here. Have heard plenty blurbs from him via talk radio and I have thought he was a reasonabl;ly good hire hire ever since it was "writing on the wall" for Gase. And this stuff I mention?? I do so very specifically in relation to our GM's comment on creating a culture.

I don't want to say there's no chance of this, but just because this dumbass organization has hired glorified coordinators with the title of head coach and used a decade's worth of 1st rounders on just one side of the ball, doesn't mean its the norm. If its Saleh or a different DC, I have confidence that Douglas won't just draft a ton of defensive guys.

After the Matt Rhule announcement I will wait for JD and the Jets to announce the contract 1st. Hopefully, we will have a coach today.
