Do you know how crazy it is that the Jets are going to do something that everyone can unanimously agree with? edit: potentially doing. The last thing I should do is put the cart before the horse. Still plenty of ways to fuck this up.
I saw a report from someone that Kafka could be his pick as OC as well. Kafka was the QB Coach for 3 years in KC and could have possibly helped with some developing of Mahomes. No idea to what extent, but it could be a nice combo.
No problem with Salah, but we need strong offensive coach, and draft offensive players in high rounds! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Saleh runs a 4-3 D. It could be good for Quinnen Williams in that Deforest Buckner role. Probably means the end of Mosley though. Neville Hewett could play that sideline to sideline MLB
Rap says we are going to bring in more guys for in person meetings. Not sure how crazy I am with that. If you know this guy has a lot of interest from others around the league and he is one of the ones you really want, just get it done. Like you said, don't let him leave without contract. It would be so typical Jets to get him in the door as their #1 guy and then let him leave because they want to go through the process and he signs with Detroit while we are sticking our fingers up our ass.
The more I read, the more it sounds like Kafka has been the guy that did most of the work with Mahomes. I’d be a fan KD that. Mike McDaniel would also be a solid choice.
Holy shit, the Jets might finally get rid of the idiotic 4-3 D. We've only been drafting IDL that can pass rush for the last DECADE.
Just get it done. Having said that, isn’t Saleh the local Detroit boy? Don’t be surprised if this leaked news lights a fire under the Detroit offer.
Why would Kafka leave the Chiefs to come here? One season with the OC title he will be a top HC candidate.
He needs the OC title first. Not really a lock at this point that Bieniemy gets a job. He’s on his third year of having bad interviews.
And you know that how? And he better get a job given how much the league needs to add minority coaches.
He's on his third year of interviewing and not one report has it seem like he's even remotely close to getting a job. Hell, Deshaun Watson went to his team and said something like "Get Bieniemy" and they didn't even request an interview. Speaks volumes about the quality candidate he is.
