Donta is the man tonight! Trade #2, draft Smith, grab a QB and OL in the first rd. Go defense round 2-3 .
No, imo #8 is too high for him or any RB short of the 2nd coming of Eric Dickerson or Walter Payton. I hope and think that Fields is the pick at #2, but if not then Kyle Pitts is who I would take after a trade down. Devonta Smith is a great player, I just don't think he'll stay healthy in the NFL with that skinny-ass frame.
I agree with you Falco. RB's have a shelf life of 4-5 years. Most don't even deserve a second contract. Get me an OL, get me a WR, get me a Corner, get me an Edge in first round. RB's can wait.
Not based on the game tonight: there's one QB in the 2021 draft that is clearly worth a premium pick and odds are we are not going to get him because he's clearly worth a premium pick. The good news: there are several QB's worth a 1st round pick lower in the round and the Jets will get an opportunity to see at least one of them on the #23. They may even get the opportunity on the #34.
Not sure you can get Smith if you trade back. The Dolphins would run to the podium if we or anyone pass on him.
I get it. Pure instincts take over in the heat of the battle though (no pun intended). He wasn't trying to decapitate him he was trying to break the pass up against a guy that outweighs him by 60 pounds.
If Douglas likes Zach Wilson, I would take Smith at #2 and see about Wilson later in the first. I have a feeling he might fall
That's why you draft em, run em into the ground and at best give them an extension that's cuttable at age 28. It's attainable in other rounds but this kid is special.
Miami picks 3, pick is from Houston in the LT trade, Sewell won’t last past that pick, I’m thinking Miami would love to have a replacement elite LT.
