As of right now, the highest that pick could possibly be is 21, and obviously the lowest it could be would be 32. If you want the Seahawks pick to be as high as possible, route for Chicago, Indianapolis, Cleveland, and the Rams. The other two games won't matter.
Man oh man if somehow we got #21 out of this and a shot at Kyle Pitts I’d be over the moon! I just think they will roll LA and it will come down to Sea, Tampa and GB in the NFC. Realistically we will be picking between 25-29 with that pick
I've not seen a recent draft where Pitts falls out of the top 20. The latest CBS draft has him going at 11 to the Giants https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft...ace-von-miller-seven-receivers-go-in-round-1/
Could we consider taking a QB with the Seattle pick instead of 2nd overall? Assuming Joe Douglas is not sold on Justin Fields, deciding to trade down and collecting more assets while possibly adding 1 elite offensive WR player like Chase/Smith. Could that be considered or is it only Darnold or New QB at 2nd overall?
I think your best case scenario with a QB at the Seattle pick is someone like Kyle Trask or Mac Jones. I'm not very high on Trask or Jones but that doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. However, I would find it difficult to pick Trask/Jones over someone like Rashod Bateman, Joseph Ossai, Terrace Marshall Jr., Alijah Vera-Tucker, etc. There are quite a few more that would be on that list for me but I think you get the idea.
The only three QBs I think could be considered at Seattle's pick are Lance, Trask, and Jones of Alabama. I have zero interest in Trask or Jones and hope that JD thinks the same. Lance would be a possibility, but I'd have to get some kind of life-altering offer to trade down and pass on Fields. It would have to be something like 4-1st round picks and 3-2nd round picks. Not too many teams have multiple 1sts aside from us, and I wouldn't be interested in spreading the picks out over 4 years, so basically I'd say no.
That would be the smart thing to do. Trade the #2 for a bunch more picks but still have a top 10 pick.
I have this feeling that Belichek believes Mac Jones could be his next Tom Brady. Even worse, I feel like he may be right.
If we go WR with our first I'd want to go guard with seahawks pick, unless there miraculously happened to be a top edge still on the board. If we go o-line with the first pick then I'd want to go WR, or center with hawks pick.
I really think the Jets will take a QB with their first pick, it’s just too important of a position to pass on. What coach is going to want to be married to Darnold?
As of now with the current two first rounders I say one will be a pick in the trenches ( offense or defense ) - the other will be a playmaker.
Why would they take a DL? That's the strongest unit on our team. Do you mean an Edge? I think the fanbase would riot if JD takes a DT, and I'd have to find my pitchfork.
Most likely OL but if defense I was thinking edge .... correct. The last thing the Jets need is another DT. I should have clarified.
Rooting guide this weekend to maximize the Seattle pick: Colts over Bills Rams over Seahawks Bears over Saints Browns over Steelers Obviously most important is Rams over Seahawks as that automatically makes the pick be no higher than 24th. Each of these other upsets improves that pick by 1. Any 1 of those win, 23rd. 2 of them win, 22nd. All 3 of them win, 21st. So let’s go Rams, Colts, Bears, and Browns!!!
Goff sucks at baseline. The fact that he is injured and may not play makes this worse but let’s go rams!
