I would love Harbaugh here. Can't get behind that sentiment either. The guy Is a winner. He's won everywhere he has went. He changes losers into winners. I may not care for his personality either but I'm not trying to be his buddy either. I don't care to, but, if he can help change our dog shit direction from losers to winners. That's all I want as a fan. A team that consistently wins. I definitely think he could bring that here.
I don't see the Jets going with a recent re-tread. I think they've learned a really hard lesson with Gase and won't take that track again.

He may well be, but in any case he needs to take time off, become a coordinator or go to a college program, to prove he's better than he showed at Jax. I agree, if the Clown Brothers hired him like they did Gase I'd be done.
One encouraging thing with this coaching hire...... I don’t remember having a pool of this many quality candidates that I’m genuinely interested in. Last two searches were a mediocre pool. Harbaugh, Fitzgerald, Arthur Smith, Roman, Wink, Eberflus, etc.. plenty of good potential options. Don’t fuck this up Douglas and Johnson.
Indeed, option and quality is there. At this point, I would summarily and immediately dismiss any and all HCs just recently fired at the NFL level and concentrate on those that at least at the current position have shown the qualities JD and Co are looking for. Going back to the same well and searching for retreads will likely get us the same sorry ass results as in the past.
He might be able to get us on the right track, but would self destruct or dump us to go somewhere else. We need longevity and stability imo, and not someone that's only likely to be here 2 or 3 years. Still, if he's hired, I'll probably root for him and hope for the best, but definitely won't be happy.

Bill Parcells was known as an exceptionally difficult HC for ownership and management to work with and he was the perfect hire. I hope the Jets get Harbaugh. He's the only CEO HC out there with a proven track record of elevating the teams he goes too. Like Parcells did he has some warts but there is nobody better qualified to drag the Jets up from the depths and make them a real contender in a hurry.
