It's football, man. Of course he can get hurt, just like every single prospect on Alabama could get hurt.
something sure but without context it's hard to judge. for example mahomes only has 6 INTs on the season. however he broke the NFL record for most dropped INTs with 16. He could have 22 INts this year which isn't good. that's a major difference. numbers w/o context don't mean much. like If i say "7" what does that mean to you? nothing because there is no context. it's simply a number
what about what i said was simple & what about it doesnt work if JD actually drafts well & has a clue about roster architecture? Its hard to take the “what theyve done the last 4 decades” seriously when they literally just traded up & drafted a QB 3rd overall 3 yrs ago. I like dont love any of these QBs other than Lance who i wouldnt take 2nd overall nor am i turning down a huge trade haul to take him instead There will be other QBs. Perhaps even at a trade down spot. Im sorry thats hard for folks to understand.
There are always QB's down the line. I just think the Jets will not get it right again. I'm not sold on Fields at all. I would rather trade down get a huge haul and take Trask from Florida. Also, no way would I take a QB from North Dakota State. The Jets will just be asking for the hate they will get for that move.
I like Wilson and believes he should be the pick. Has nice touch on his passes and also more accurate than given credit for. He also has great pocket awareness. The only thing I'm not sure of is with him being Mormon will he leave the Jets to go do his missionary requirement.
He risks the same big bucks by sending the message to NFL GM's that big bucks matter more to him than winning championships.
Alot of people said the same thing about the Jets drafting a supposed inaccurate QB(Allen) & an air raid QB (Mahomes). NDSU is highly respected & already proved they can develop NFL QBs w Wentz. Lance has special ability.
I can wipe my ass with anyone's opinion that thinks Sanchez is better than Mayfield. Holy shit, can't believe what I'm reading. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
I've been watching Wilson and thought he was NFL when I saw him as a freshman. You also have to believe Shanahan and the 49ers are drooling over him.
Yeah, the Jets struck it rich because of one insignificant game played by two college teams, which have nothing to do with the Jets. Now you know why these people get paid the big bucks.
16 dropped ints ??? Wow.... What % of "dropped" ints should be intercepted ? I'm trying to see what an "adjusted interception rate" for all QB's would show so that the QB with lots of ints but very few dropped ints isn't penalized.
You're not arguing with me, friend. You're wishing that NFL GM's wouldn't judge -- consciously or unconsciously -- a college player for sitting out the national championship. But they will judge him for it. I'm not saying that's how it should be. I'm saying that's how it is.
I disagree. He already dispelled all those notions vs. Clemson, but if he's still injured and his doctor says that he could risk serious injury by playing, no one will hold that against him unless they're a dumbass.
Spot on I swear the comments and comparisons get dumber by the day. Sometimes I think the Jets have driven some posters out of their minds or caused them to drink so much they've killed off a lot of their brain cells.
Just so I'm clear on this. NFL GM's might lie to other GM's on draft day, knowing that they'll never trade with that partner again so who cares? = reasonable. NFL GM's might judge the competitiveness of a prospect who chooses to pass on a chance for a national championship = ridiculous.
