I just did. Many thanks. That makes sense. Another member mentioned that one of the strengths of Namath was to always keep the nose of the ball up, which makes it easier to catch as well.
This thread is quite a time machine. Go back to page 1, in April 2018. It feels like the past is going to repeat itself.
Yeah he was. Pretty much nailed it. Darnold is a turnover machine. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
In Rosens defense though the guy got as big a shaft as you'll ever see in the NFL. The Cardinals team that took him was terrible and had maybe the worst o-line in the last 10 years. Still he won 3 games, one less then Sam. Plus he got creamed every drive and continued to fight like a warrior. Then he went to the phins and had to learn a new system and compete against Fitz who had already ran that style offense many times. If given a choice I would be more comfortable investing a season in a Rosen rehab over Sam.
Rosen was my preference going into the draft, and he was definitely the better QB in college than Darnold, playing with a far less talented team. I agree he had a raw deal in Arizona but he must have shown absolutely nothing to impress the Dolphins for them to give up on him so quickly and not think he could even grow into a good QB with experience. Or they are just idiots easily distracted by the next big named QB prospect.
Maybe the funniest part reading the first few pages is the love of Rosen and hate for Allen. Golden Showers took a lot of heat for his Darnold hate, but in hindsight he was correct with most of his criticism...
I wrote that I preferred Rosen too but was happy with Darnold, he had tools to be like a Luck is what I wrote lol To bad he hasn't shown developments from his sophomore year of college
A rule should be dont bring in a young QB to compete with Fitz. He has way too much experience. Also good call here: Many of the pages are littered with praise for Mac and the trade up.
