Hoping to stick with Sam?! C’mon man he’s terrible.. we need to cut bait as soon as possible and if some team is willing to give us something for him that’s like finding $50 bucks in an old winter jacket
I want to believe Sam can turn it around as bad as anyone but he has shown absolutely nothing this year to inspire confidence that it can happen. I recognize that he's very young, I understand that Gase is the worst coach in the league, and I acknowledge his supporting cast has been lackluster, but there are only so many excuses you can make when a guy has played as poorly as he has in his third year in the league. We're incredibly fortunate to be in the position where there are two talented QB's (Fields/Wilson) who are worthy of the #2 pick. Unless we get an outrageous offer for #2 that would be foolish to refuse, I think going into 2021 with Sam as our starter would be an egregious mistake.
mac was an average drafter. people here hated him but he didn't do awful. he just wasn't good. but man he really sucked at trades and FA signings.
you think fields is plug and play? he has a lot to develop to. all college Qbs do. people hopping on the fields board after 1 big game is too funny.
He's had nineteen big games. Plenty of people have been on board with Fields for the better half of the past two years.
lol 2 years? come on. nobody thought we'd be taking a QB this draft when the season started and lawerence was always the top pick for everyone at QB
Lawrence and Fields were considered to be potential 1a/1b options before Fields had his first two poor games of his collegiate career this past season. Lawrence ended up in a better situation where he could start right away whereas Fields was stuck behind an elite college starter as a freshman and had to transfer. This tools are extremely similar and Fields has now outplayed Lawrence in 6/8 quarters in head to head matchups. If Fields had started as a freshman he would've had a very similar career to Lawrence. There's a reason he outpaced him by four slots in the 2019 Heisman Race. Lawrence is still the undoubted number one pick and some of Fields potential deficiencies coming to light this year in a whacky college year have lead it to be more of a 1/2 situation than a 1a/1b situation. Recency bias hurts Fields as much as it helps him. People forget how much Lawrence struggled at the start of last season. He just had 9 more games to erase the bad games he played and had a bunch of cupcakes in 2019 to right those wrongs. Fields played three of the top college defenses in five weeks. He faired well in his last game and played to the ceiling he's capable of. Not to mention in one of those two bad games Fields had, he still accounted for 378 total yards and three touchdowns/five scoring drives despite the three picks. I wouldn't expect someone who says a 230-240 quarterback that's a 'runner after his first read,' to understand that though considering you've clearly never really watched him play.
he's listed at 228 and i said he should be in the 253-240 range. if you are going to continue to misquote me to make up nonsense i'm not going to bother discussing this with you. stick to the facts if you want a discussion or i'll ignore you and it'll be like the baker mayfield josh allen crap all over again when you all shit on me for saying allen was better then mayfield on film. then started making up shit i never said about mayfield.
At 228 he's bigger than all of the quarterbacks I listed earlier on this thread that you decided to create strawman arguments about in order to dismiss the facts that were presented to you. Stop bringing up 2018. Being right about something three years ago doesn't make you right now. Not to mention you look like a jerkoff doing so.
no misquoting someone and not accepting you were wrong many times in the past and throwing out the opinion of someone who has been proven right time and time again makes you look like a jackass
You won't accept you're wrong about him being undersized or not having an NFL arm. So whose the jackass here? Still waiting on your reply to his size comparison with all of the quarterbacks I previously listed that have no problem in the NFL as a result of their size.
I never said any of those things but you continue to make that up. that's why you look like a jackass. but keep making shit up, that'll make me respect your opinion lol
Player A: 58 TD passes, 12 INTs, 67.2 completion percentage, 9.26 yards per attempt, 16 rushing TDs, 23-1 record Player B: 56 TD passes, 8 INTs, 68.9 completion percentage, 9.25 yards per attempt, 15 rushing TDs, 19-1 record Stole this from an article someone posted earlier. They are 1a 1b. Let's not kid ourselves.
Fields' very clear leadership and determination without being rah-rah about it are pretty exciting to think about. Definitely Russell Wilson like in that specific area.
LOL. Isn't great. Average. Average arm strength for an NFL QB. Heard these same buzzwords about Deshaub Watson. "One read and run quarterback" - for a guy that runs for 40 yards a game in a spread offense.
Obviously you aren't drafting Fields just off his stats in comparison to TL. That would be absolutely asinine.
