I hope to never see a worse head coach. He somehow made players worse. Jets only won on the backs of the players not jumping ship, Gase would have a 0 (or negative) WAR in baseball. Case and point, jets won 2 meaningless games... then when winning doesn't hurt any chances, they get destroyed by the pats in the last game of the year because players naturally checked out and the coach gave 0 to help.
I never like this hire at all. He was chosen for all the wrong reasons. Do we have to wait for Monday morning for the official word?
The thing is I think this whole sorry history over the last 2-6 years may have been what it took for the Johnsons to hire Douglas and give him control over hiring the new HC. Drunks have to hit rock bottom before they have any hopes of straightening their lives out. I think the Jets had to do the same in order for Douglas to do what he needs to do.

They're not going to fire him while he's in Foxboro. We'll either hear about it later tonight or at some point tomorrow morning or early afternoon.
