I'm willing to admit I hate every head coach who was hired so far this year. It seems like every team that made a move from their head coach did it because their head coach sucked with no plan at all. Cleveland seems to have at least made a decision to lock down Kitchens because of his work with Baker. It makes sense but really Freddy Kitchens? I'm not jealous that Freddy Kitchens isn't our head coach. I also hated actually making Mike McCarthy the head coach. He just seems like a quart of milk that you left in the refrigerator because you went on a heroine bing for 4 years or were watching the Todd Bowles coached Jets for 4 years. Curdled with a little bit of green mold on top. Best if used before 2012. The reality is as much as Gase deserves our hate and skepticism here are some positives: Youth with experience Not morbidly obese A bit of a prick (Granted this can be bad but it can be good) Thinks Ross is an asshole Hates the Dolphins more than is rational necessary Has a reasonably good record against the Pats Hate the Dolphins more than is rationally necessary Incredible confident or a socio path. Both potentially valuable when coaching the Jets.
I don't know if this is optimistic or pessimistic-- but somehow Adam Gase has been an NFL coach for 15+ years, 5+ as an OC or HC, and his Rasputin eyes have never come to my attention until the Jets brought him on board.
Kay interview has opened my eyes - no pun intended - to Gase's vision - pun slightly intended - for this job.
How was that post a fail? Lol It's pretty fuckin spot on to how I felt and the stance I took. Not sure why you quoted this randomly and how you conveniently left out my other posts bashing the hire.
