I think he has a higher floor than Lawrence. His running ability is going to give defenses headaches. Fields and Roman would work.
Lawrence can run very well too. But I'm glad someone is finally getting it, that running QBs have high floors, not so-called "pro-ready" QBs.
Man, Fields is on a mission tonight. That redzone throw was prettttyyy. Twice as many touchdowns as incompletions against a talented defense in that first half. If it continues this way, he might've re-established that 1a status. Really excited about his play tonight
I don’t wanna jump to conclusions but wow, I don’t know how you don’t go Fields at 2. It’s one game and there are certainly still things to worry about but he’s putting on a clinic.
Is it not obvious Justin Fields is the pick it you go QB with the 2nd pick. He is not like the other QBs that have come out of Ohio State in the last few years.
Have not been a huge supporter of the idea of drafting Fields with the #2. He is definitely making me rethink that position and I think I can get behind the move if that is the way Douglas wants to go.
I've said that I wasn't sure that Lawrence really was the best QB, but he was the consensus pick and thus the safest pick, but I'm not so sure I wouldn't take Fields.
Lawrence is a good runner, but not as fast/elusive as Fields. Justin is Cam Newton/Josh Allen as a runner.
lawrence 12/18 - 152 - 0 tds Fields 16/18 - 224 - 4 tds The accuracy Fields has shown is remarkable as he’s attempting a lot more big boy throws vs Lawrence. Clemson is a good team, so expecting them to bounce back in 2nd half...
My OSU friend legit telling me Lawrence isn’t this generational talent and that he said get some weapons for Sam or even Zach Wilson is the answer for the Jets. He’s not even sold on Fields as the answer neither.
