It's always been the same in football. It used to be called spearing but it's the same as it ever was. You cannot under any circumstances lead with the crown of your helmet. Geez, Fields is legit hurt. He limped away after handing off. I'd hate to see him actually take real contact.
You try to tackle a player coming right at you with your head up, your head and neck can snap backwards and you die on the field or be paralyzed for life. I think the head up thing is not realistic in every situation.
