Since we will be looking for a new HC & CS these last 3 games will make the job a bit more desirable. I know if I was looking at the Jets HC job watching us beat the Rams & Browns when they were both playing for a playoff spot & possibly beat the Patriots, shows that there is no quitting on this team & there is reason for optimism.
this team DOES have some really good young talent on it, which a lot of Jets fans were overlooking while they were pining away for TL. Some of the building blocks of a really strong team ARE already on the roster.
People here seem to think the Johnsons are smart. Do you really think they would fire Gase on a three-game winning streak? I have zero confidence in their ability to do what's right for the Jets going forward. I wouldn't be even mildly surprised if they keep Gase another year if they finish the season on a three-game winning streak.. and after watching New England tonight, that's a very, very real possibility. I've seen the Johnsons do too many stupid things over the years to be optimistic.
KW did you watch that Bills game? The Pats are atrocious! I honestly think we beat them next week. Book it.
I happened to be switching channels tonight and caught NFL pregame. McGinest admitted that the Jets have caught his eye on film particularly the front 7. He said he didn’t like admitting it being he’s a Patriot for life but he likes what he sees from the young guys on the Jets defense. So we’re not alone on that assessment .....
exactly what I was thinking, MrJet. I love what I am seeing on the defensive side of the ball. There is a lot to be encouraged about on D.
WHO thinks they're smart? I've never seen any poster here even vaguely hint that the Johnsons were smart. In fact, the one thing that this whole forum agrees on is that they're imbeciles. They are not keeping Gase. Enough with that nonsense. The decision has already been made to fire Gase, and Douglas is hiring the new HC. Bank on it!
i hope you’re right! I do like that we’re starting to see more of these leaks so that’s a good sign but never underestimate the Johnson’s sheer idiocy....if there’s a bad decision to be made, you can bet your house they’ll be first in line to make it
iK I'm gonna sound crazy and maybe the lone wolf on this but i think Greg did a great job with what he had on D and esp getting the young guys on the Dline playing real well all year props to him before getting the AXE.
There’s already a report out - Gase is gone after the NE game and JD will be heading the search. Maybe, just maybe, the Johnsons are slowly catching on ....
There’s talent there - the DL for one. The Jets have a good rushing defense led by Q. Franklin-Meyers, Basham, Huff, Fatukasi are always flying around the ball. You have Maye and Hall in the secondary ....Hall is probably a future #2 CB. On offense you can start with Becton, Crowder, Mims is gonna be good. Jury still out on Darnold of course. Obviously a lot more talent needed but there is young talent on the roster.....need better coaching.
