Fields is a physical specimen + likely going to be #2 Qb off the board when all is said and done... most Jets fans clamoring for a qb don’t want him, though.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Have you seen him play? He is not that mobile (think more like Baker/Wilson) than Vick/Lamar. Also, a very weak arm. He cannot throw through tight windows. If you are going to keep a weak arm WCO type QB, might as well just keep Sam. He won't change the needle and his stats should be thrown out since it's college. You can tell a good QB if you watch them play and he's very pedestrian (mid 1st rd slection IMO). Wilson is the guy if we go QB.

Agree with those Qb’s not helping much + also agree the need to hit on these draft picks, it’s partly why I believe Sewell will be high on the Jets radar.

Wilson is not like Mahomes in the following ways -not as thickly built (my 15 year old son is more solidly built), does not have the same huge arm, I’m not convinced Wilson has a better arm than Darnold even, injury concerns (2 torn shoulders), and another factor is lack if competition. People want to cry about Fields, but he played some good defenses with NFL caliber players. Wilson looked very ordinary when he played against the lone good team this year in Coastal Carolina. Also he had just 1 year of good production.

so not like he doesn’t have question marks or isn’t somewhat of a risky pick.

Yes, I’ve watched Fields and no, he’s a different class of athlete vs all other Qb’s in this draft except Trey Lance. He’s far more athletic than Baker/Wilson. He’s a bigger, faster and stronger dude. An alpha dog as far as a specimen. Go watch his film and see how often he breaks tackles, the first guy almost never can bring him down...

You may want Wilson but very few NFL teams have him ranked higher right now. Not liking the guy is one thing (I actually don’t like Fields as a Qb prospect myself), but to say he doesn’t have talent is pretty silly. He’s raw, tries to do too much and holds on to the ball too long. His arm is good too... I actually don’t want the Jets to draft Fields myself but I also would steer clear of Wilson for reasons I posted above...

I've seen Fields plenty of times, he is not it. Very average arm. Will not be able to make more NFL throws. So you ask yourself, do we want to look like the Seahawks and have Fields run around and throw up passes or do you want a QB who can make throws? Ill defer to the latter and pass on Fields. He is a player but he needs good players around him imo.

The Center market tops off much lower than the OT market. Tackle is one of the highest paid positions while center is one of the lowest.

Take the elite talent available and see if it works with the QB we have now. If it doesn’t then we’ll probably in position to draft a QB in 2022 and let’s get real, we can’t even pretend like we know how the 21 class compares to 22 right now.

We need a complete offensive rehaul outside of LT. There are top notch WR available and they can probably be had with a trade down. And then there are top notch RB available in the late first, which we have. And then there are very solid OL prospects in the late first and early second. We can use this draft to make the situation as easy as possible for Sam, or whoever comes after him.

Teams have the ability to do things like this regularly. They just usually don’t because if they are drafting that high multiple years in a row, they almost always are drafting a QB or Pass-Rusher with at least one of those picks. Tackle is still a distant 3rd in value to QB or Pass-Rusher.

Trey Lance vs Zack Wilson. I'm taking Trey Lance. He's a Deshaun Watson clone.

    Trey Lance

    Zack Wilson

Wr’s can be found every year. who is better? Chase, Lamb or Jefferson? IDK - I fhink Jefferson maybe...

There is not an elite DE / pass rusher like Chase Young this year... he’d be an easy selection.

After Lawrence, there is not a clear cut #2 Qb.

The most realistic options for the Jets are take a HOF talent in Sewell as no GM ever gets criticized for nailing a HOF draft pick vs missing on a Qb (again after Lawrence it’s a risky endeavor)...

OR trade down a few spots. With the disparity between Sewell and everyone else, it might take 2 firsts....

KC is paying two tackles $11M/each, Hill $20M, Kelsi $8.5M (escalates to $16M) and Mahomes $25M (escalates to $45M)...

If the Jets want Sewell, paying him won’t be a problem... a lot of ways to get it done these days.

Im asking this because I don’t actually know and you seem to be doing the research already... is there a team out there paying two tackles with a huge question mark at QB and almost no skill position talent?

If we take Trey Lance I might have to throw in the towel on my fandom for a while.

One of the Jets Twitter dudes did a breakdown of him earlier this season. Noooo thank you. He looks like James Morgan if you go look at his tape.

2 torn shoulders? I have only heard of one that he suffered in high school. When was the other?

$11 million each is one thing. $20 million each is another matter entirely, especially when Mahomes will be making $45 million, and Kelce's and Hill's contracts will probably be higher. Also, look at their D. That's probably one of the reasons why their D is no better. They can't afford any expensive D players.

If you are saying Fields will be like Russell Wilson and do I want him? The answer is YES!!!!!

For the record, I don’t like any of these Qb’s with the #2 pick...
