Not too much, just that he's the first CHL player to win 2 MVPs since Sidney Crosby. He's a passer and a goal scorer, doesn't seem to get intimidated
Rangers, Islanders Devils. One of those teams win the Championship already. I am glad Rangers got the first pick.
It's over - the Hank generation is done Lundqvist bought out, Staal traded to Detroit for a 2nd rounder 23 million in cap space to play with
Great career for Lundqvist. One of the best ever. I hope he still wants to play and the Capitals sign him to back-up Samsonov. That would be perfect for both sides I feel. King Henrik has been and always will be my favorite non-Caps player. I feel bad he never won a Cup in New York, but he got them pretty close carrying them on his back. If anything, he is somehow underrated.
Grace/skill/dignity/humility..,the greatest Ranger player ever and one of the greatest goaltenders in NHL History
Some amazing saves! I love how the commentators just assume the puck is in the net or hits the post, but NOPE! Lundqvist with the save. Truly The King.
Great player who carried a lot of Rangers teams over the years. He would have won 3 or 4 cups if he was playing with a great player base around him. Instead he mostly played with average player bases and made them contenders.
People not happy burning a 3rd to move up three spots for Schneider They must see something in him, people need to chill on the Mcilrath comparisons
I am jazzed for this season. Hoping the NHL figures out the bubble thing and also how to fit 10k+ people at the games without turning them into super-spreader events. I don't think the NHL can survive without being able to sell a bunch of tickets for games. People will pay a lot for a safe seat. The question is how do you make them safe this season?
My guess is it depends on how effective and how quickly they can get the vaccines out to the people. I wouldn't have much hope for fans at the games at first. Murphy hasn't allowed fans at Jets/Giants games and Cuomo is doing the same for Bills games. The Bills are trying to get approval for 6700 at their playoff game. It remains to be seen if that happens. Both MetLife and Bills Stadium are outdoor, open air stadiums and still no fans were allowed to attend. I cant see the local hockey/basketball teams having fans in their indoor arena's at least not right away.
