I wish we had Le'Veon Bell right now. With him in the back-field and running routes we would have a better picture of Darnold's ability. I believe Bell would compensate for some of the weaknesses on the O-line and in the reciever corps. I think these next games will be telling for Darnold and I wish we had Bell there to help him. I hope we win out. Imagine fucking with the browns like that and just putting one on the patriots. That with all the draft capital we have, we could stick with Darnold. What do you all think?

Darnold is the worst starting QB in the NFL, why would we stick with him? QB might be the biggest need on the team when you consider how important it is and how bad we currently are there.

    Bell is washed.

Is this a Bell thread or a Darnold thread? Anyway, the next 2 games won't mean much for Sam from an evaluation standpoint. The team (and other teams) already have enough on him. Bell would not have made much of a difference if he was still on the roster. I am glad he is gone.

The question with Sam is can he be salvaged and still be good starting QB in the league? We don't know the answer, but I am not sure Douglas and the Jets can afford to wait too much longer to find out. It's a tough spot.

Even if we had prime Bell, he'd get fewer touches than 80 year old Frank Gore.

sociopath gase wouldnt use him. he is petty like that. i didnt like this signing so i am not going to use this guy. kc appears happy to have him now that edwards helaire is injured. seems like it worked out pretty good for bell. good for him. always thought he got alot of shit for simply standing up for himself.

Ty Johnson and Adams have ran 10x better than Bell has at any point in his two seasons, why would you want him back?

Play the other two over Gore for sure but Bell was busted.

I agree with everything but the last part, he got a lot of shit because he was well paid and didn't produce, Gase certainly didn't help but Bell had no juice in his legs in either season for us.

Not a single person would have backed Gase over Bell in a row, Gase is universally disliked if not hated.

I wish we had him last week because I think the Rams probably win the game with Bell in the backfield doing his tip-toe routine at the line of scrimmage.

Since Bell has been in KC he has talked up Sam as a quality QB with a bright future. So he is doing what he can to improve Sam's trade value. I like that.

Bell is slow and his career is over. That's what I think.

Bell was a really bad fit for the Jets. He never had huge burst and I think only 1 50 yard run in his career. He thrived because the Steelers OL was 1) top 3 during his time there and 2) held blocks forever which allowed Bell's patient vision to find gaps. I loved watching the way he ran in Pittsburgh but didn't want him on the Jets because I couldn't think of a worse place for him. Then throw in Gase and the way he used him (and didn't) it was doomed from the get go.

Bell isn't producing with the best QB, offense and coach in the NFL. What makes you think he'd be a difference maker on this trash offense?

He was a bad fit and a bad signing off a 21 months hiatus. If he continued along in Pittsburgh he was probably going to be a Hall of Famer. People don't realize how brutal it is to try to adapt yourself back to a football game and football speed. Especially for a guy that's not fast to begin with.

the last part was more of what occurred before he got to the jets. he was pretty much hated for not wanting to play on a franchise tag for a 2nd year in a row. he took a ton of shit for that. and while we can say oh the franchise tag pays alot of money it definitely didnt give him any kind of long term sanity. what i meant was that i can see his side of the argument, i am not a fan of the franchise tag as it kind of defeats the whole idea of free agency for 1 guy per team if the team chooses.

no, he wasnt good as a jet, he is a capable back up at this point who is an nfl player, just what kc has used him for this year. but i think his days of being a starting rb are over. hes definitely not worth anywhere near what he was getting paid. that i can agree with completely.

Let's not forget Bell turned down a record contract for RBs prior to getting tagged. He way overvalued himself as did Mac.
