Sam's younger than Burrow, but Burrow's a hell of a lot better. The Bengals are actually worse than the Jets and Jaguars, but Burrow got them 2 wins and a tie.
Yes, I'm all for either taking the Oregon Tackle at 2, or trading down and taking Chase is intriguing
Burrow played better but Mixon, Boyd, Green, Higgins are better than what has been on the field for Darnold for most of this season + Burrow’s coach is much better than Gase and revamped their offense to run the same plays as LSU ran... It took two seasons (and Darnold confronting him) for Gase to make any adjustments at all to his offense. Even this year Gase has reverted back to trying to make Darnold sit in the pocket and be Peyton... With no line, and no playmakers. I don’t think there’s too many Qb’s who could succeed with Frank Gore running 15 times/game.
We aren’t paying Darnold shi*** he better sign for a mid level contract because he doesn’t deserve a huge contract.
We're not keeping Sam. Douglas is not risking his career on Sam, and there's no way they can pick up his 5th year option. Keeping him for a year to start and then letting him walk in FA in 2022 would be incompetent and a fireable offense. We're going to take what we can get for Sam and move on. I will say that just as if Gase is back, I'm done, if the plan is to roll with Sam and his option is picked up, I'm done as well, because that will mean that Douglas is just as stupid as the Johnsons and there will be NO hope for this team.
Yeah I keep seeing this I don't give a shit if Sam is younger than Burrow. Burrow looked better than Sam ever has. Sam just fucking sucks that's it. He's not the guy I just want him and Gase gone Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk
Sam had a decent game *finally*, but he still had a terrible year overall from any perspective you can imagine. Plan B is still to get a QB prospect. Wilson perhaps given Fields sucks every time he faces an OK defense? Or Lance?
At this point its better to wait until the season ends and see where we sit. I think the Browns and Pats games look winnable all of a sudden. Minus the Seahawks game, this team has been competitive the last 5-6 weeks. The announcers were drooling all over Becton and Q today. One thought is you can sign Sam on the cheap now (say 3 years $45 million extension...team option third year) and see if he takes a gamble on himself and you surround him with an offensive line (which we are doing) and a coaching staff and get him some weapons and see what he becomes. The kid wants to be here. He might not be the guy but its a low risk non-Wentz contract.
So if Plan B is to trade down, what is a realistic deal? The only teams with 2 first round picks are the Jets, Dolphins (not going to trade within three division) and the Jags. What offer will it take to get the #2 pick?
If Trevor Lawrence is not there for us we should absolutely trade the pick. Move down and get more assets. Why choose between the next 5-6 players when any of them (QB, OT, WR, Pass rusher, or CB would be a huge upgrade over what we have now?
no way fields sucks and will bust out here just as Darnold has did you see him yesterday when he didn’t have 18 seconds to throw with no,pressure to wide open receivers? I want NO PART of Fields
Total surprise that he's not being dragged through the coals tonight. The individual play that made the single biggest difference in the outcome.
