It's still funny to me that so many of you think a QB was going to turn this franchise around. The only way this franchise turns around is if ownership turns around.
If the NFL weren't a watered down hype show riddled with conflicts of interest and constant social justice campaigns and stuck with sport and competition, it might be worth sticking out or for as a fan, but the product is utter trash. It's basically a partial contact version of the NBA at this point. If I wanted scripted reality, I'd watch the Kardashians.
Gase sucks; this team didn’t win today because of any semblance of competence by Gase, they won because Goff is complete garbage and McVeigh has a history of losing winnable games. An interim head coach, who has a vested interest in winning (being controlled to lose is a ridiculous premise), wouldn’t change those facts. I’ve watched the Rams all year and was legitimately worried about this game.
That's what I meant, but I guess there are other ways ownership could change-- personal enlightenment on the part of the current owners, or they could die and a new owner inherit the team....
One of the biggest upset wins in NYJ history and fans are backing out. Definitely living in some false dystopian reality.
The comical "I'm done", that was me in the late 80's, this team is like genital herpes, they may go away from time to time, but you never get rid of them.
I'm waiting to see what happens in this off season. If they keep Gase, that's it for me. If they don't make a good move in picking up a new coach, I'm done as well. I'm afraid they'll pick up some guy who's doing fine as a coordinator, but failed as a head coach, like Steve Spagnolo, Pat Shurmur, Jay Gruden, etc.
None of you are done. If they wear green and white and walk onto the field next year, you will watch. You will be overflowing with optimism when a new head coach signs, then when the draft comes around, and when camp starts. First game of the season all televisions will be tuned in. It's in our blood. We're fans of this team and this is what we do.
Not only do we lose the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes but we help the Seahawks make the playoffs screwing up our other first round pick. After following this team for more than 40 years nothing shocks me. I should have seen this coming but why would we have a shot against the Rams? No other team in any sport twists the knife in their fans backs quite like this one.
Maybe with their current accounts they are, but when you see a sudden influx of new and very vocal posters next season...
