mix line was bogeying north thru South Jersey,,,,but how far will it go ??? Mid levels are warm even though it's brrrrrrrrr at the surface in most places. Has not snowed hard here started just before 5pm but starting sticking immediately,,,,,,,,lets see how this goes,,,,,,,,Madison will get buried no matter what
Radar showing a possible lull in the action as reinforcements get their shit together to the south. Sleet line moves 2 steps up and one back. Now at some point overnight the center low will begin to pull away a bit...but will have plenty of juice left on its west and north side so those on sleet...or even rain...will get turned back to snow...and the sleet line will retrograde back out over the ocean...so snow for those suffering sleet now is coming back... question is when does that happen. Guess might be midnight
Getting ready to hit the road. Looks like the rain sleet line flirted with nyc but never really took hold there. Here in Dutchess it’s about 8-9” of fine powder. Another 5 hours of storm left, should put us right around 12”
We underperformed out here due to extended sleet. York came in a 8.5". Harrisburg came in at just over 9".
it looks like a postcard out there,,,,,,last night sleet mixed in and we hit a dry slot where for quite a while nothing fell from the sky but we had around 7 inches on the ground at 11 pm,,,,,,heading out now to access
7" in central Nassau county. The sleet changeover giveth (lower totals) and taketh away (it's crunchy, heavy, snow).

For me in Fair Lawn, NJ ( Bergen County) the storm wasn't a big deal. I would guess we got around 6 inches. Went out with the snow blower and was done an hour later. The main roads in Fair Lawn were all clear. Side roads were OK as well.
