Those two posts you quoted basically say the same thing. And again. It is what being a top 5 bad all time team that going 0-16 represents that is the problem. The level of badness just can't be recovered from quickly enough. There aren't enough #1 picks to go around when you are that bad. You might get a brief false dawn for a few years though so there's that. It's an irrelevant point though, because this team is that bad and I don't think they will win a game, but I'll still be hoping they do.
I’m not saying JD is gonna be the best GM of all-time but can we give him more than 1 offseason before saying garbage like this? All he’s done is give us a potential franchise LT, a 1/2 caliber WR, and a few other starting/depth pieces in his ONE and ONLY draft. There’s plenty of reasons to be pessimistic about the Jets but I don’t think JD can be included in those at this moment.
Feeling more confident now w/o Gregg Williams schemes this defense is one of the worst in NFL history
The only people connected to the NY Jets that do not deserve an 0-16 season are the fans. The owner chose to work for the worst president in US history and left his retarded brother in charge of the Jets. 0-16 for you! Retarded brother thinks putting Adam Gase in charge of the development of the most talented QB prospect the Jets have ever had. 0-16 for you. Adam Gase is the worst HC in Jets history, for a franchise as bad as the Jets have been that is quite the honor. 0-16 for you for the rest of eternity. Joe Douglas deserves 0-16 less than the others but does play a part in ruining Darnold. 0-16 for you! But I hope you are a part of better days ahead. At least Jets fans will get a bright shiny new QB prospect that the team will end up ruining. At least we’ll have the excitement of his potential for a couple years before he becomes ruined.
I think in the past it would've bothered me but it doesn't anymore. Does anyone talk about the 0-16 Browns anymore? NO. Does anyone talk about the 0-16 Lions anymore NO. Shit, people stopped talking about that the next year when they both had franchise QBs and entertaining teams. And honestly, does it really make a difference 1-15 or 0-16? they are both embarrassing
It's terrible, but who was even left that is a true starter? Maye and Quinnen and they continue to play well. The other 9? Not so much. It can be greatly improved for 2021 too but these final 3 weeks could be brutal.
we get the first pick in every round, gase is gone, and christopher is back counting pencils at J&J....
I'm as opinionated as anyone - trust me - but I refrain from making snarky political - or even what I consider relevant political - comments here. I hope everyone else can respect the clear boundaries of this forum and take your non-football opinions elsewhere.

I hate losing and being a Jets fan I've seen perpetual losing. There is no guarantee Lawrence will save us we've been down this road before. The Jets sure tried to blow the tank against Oakland. Only Greg Williams saved it. I want Lawrence but I want Douglas to get this roster stronger and of course, a coach that can get everyone moving together on winning. That will be the hardest part.
What difference does 0-16 make from 1-15? Not a damn thing. In the big picture it just means your team stinks, needs new direction and the owners need to hire the right people, write checks, smile for the camera, stay in their owners box and avoid the media.
the large majority was complaining about him as a person. i'm not sifting through junk. i'm asking you. if you have a point say it
Nah...if you’re gunna suck you might as well be the best at sucking based on the draft system It would bother me a little if there wasn’t a great prospect at the end of the tunnel, but there is this year
I just want the Jags to win another game so I can cheer for the Jets to beat the pats and we get Trevor
0-16 gets you the best prospect since Andrew Luck, a guy in the same league with Peyton Manning, Luck, John Elway. 1-15 gets you Justin Fields who might be a very good QB in the NFL or might be an upgraded Dwayne Haskins. There are no guarantees in the NFL even with a franchise QB but the QB touches the ball on every single offensive play (except FGs). If Lawrence is as good as advertised he will make the WRs better...the OL better...the RB's better.
