Figured i'd try something new for the last couple of weeks to go along with the studs and duds. if people like it i'll continue it next season Pass Offense - F Darnold was awful. should have had 3 INTs although 1 was a batted pass so not really his fault. still all 3 were dropped or he could have looked worse stat-wise. Our Wrs are garbage. 1 leg crowder was ineffective and used sparingly. perriman can only go deep. Berrios was the only one in the passing offense who looked good. we only had 132 yards passing. just awful Rush offense - F just as bad as the passing offense. adams was the only one who looked good going 6 for 27 yards and a 4.5 YPC. 12 of them was on 1 run though. ty averaged 2 YPC on 8 attempts and gore 2.9 on 8 attempts and a fumble. only had 69 yards rushing on 23 carries a 3 YPC average as a team Pass defense - D- Not giving the F because wilson only threw for 206 yards and was picked off on a nice play by maye. but some of that was because they were in control of the game and didn't have to pass much. he still threw 4 TDs. not to mention how many free 1st downs we gave them on defensive penalties (at least 5) including austins taunting call. geno came in as a back-up and went 4/5 for 33 yards and led them to a FG late in the game Run Defense - F we got shredded today. run D was much worse off without GW calling the plays. they ran for 177 yards on 33 carries 5.36 YPC and a TD Special Teams - D- not giving the F because ballentine had a good game on kick returns including a 66 yarder but castillo was awful going 1-4 on FGs and mann's punts were short all day averaging under 40 yards on 5 punts. Coaching - F big fat F from coaching. frank bush taking over play calls for the 1st week after GW was fired was awful. we got shredded in the pass and run game. and seattle put up 40 but could have been worse if they didn't let off the gas in the blowout. Gase and his offense was awful. 0 TDs. and 0 points after the 1st drive. no 2nd half adjustments either. we only had 4 possessions in the 2nd half. the 1st 3 were all 3 and outs for a total of negative 5 yards. the last was with 3:49 left in the game and we just ran the clock out with the game out of hand.
Jumped into this game late in the second. Wish I’d jumped out a window instead. There are bad games and then there’s this. Team did nothing well in almost any facet of the game and Seattle just imposed their will on them. It was like some wrinkled ass old man joining a CS:GO match. No fun at all.
I'm glad that I opted to do yard work yesterday. It was beautiful here, sunny, clear and in the 60s. It was definitely the right decision.
This was one of the worst games I've ever seen. I won't say worst because I've seen a lot of bad games, but this is up there. It was a clear "surrender" game. They've given up, and Gase clearly quit on them by choosing to run out the clock with 3 minutes to go. It was a shameful performance.
i really don't get it. the game is over. what's the harm in giving the offense real reps for the last 4 mins?
I agree, but perhaps coaches dont want players to get hurt in a lost game. It would be nice to show some balls and go for it on a 4th down vs punting or field goal. But we do need to secure the #1 pick
Actually, there's more risk of players being hurt when they're not going 100%. Having Gase show his ass was a good way to send the message "We quit!", and having the players stop trying as hard.,
Whenever there is a blowout coaches tend to replace starters on each side, bcuz of chance of Injury. Not worth risking losing a player over a game that is basically finished. I'm sure if Gase wouldve tried to score and say Becton got hurt, ppl would be going at him also. It was just a horrible game, in a horrible season.
True they can get hurt kicking the ball also. Actually more likely to happen during special teams. The point is our team sucks and we cant afford to lost more starters.
Looked to me like the D is gonna mail it in the rest of the season. Say what you want about GW, but this was his Defense. The D looked like they were simply going thru the motions. Frank Bush is not and will never be GW and it shows on the field. The soul of this defense is gone now. First Adams, now GW.
