This was the only game left on the schedule that I thought this team had a realistic shot of winning, and the result was a 20-3 joke. The only reason anyone has for winning another game this year is because "it's the Jets, they'll f it up". Guess what? Sam Darnold STINKS. He's worse than Geno right now, hell, he's probably worse than 2012 Sanchez.
Raiders 30 Jets 13 Raiders will toy with the Jets by playing it close in the first half before pulling away in the second half.
It seems that each week we play a team just after they suddenly got worse. The Broncos after losing Lock, Arizona, the Bills and Pats on sudden losing steaks, the Phins after unexpectedly losing to Denver and now the Raiders after losing by 37 to Atlanta. Hopefully, we can keep on finding ways to lose. The talent on this team is not that bad and there appears to be some really good building blocks for the future. But, we need to finish the job. If we can get by the Raiders things look pretty good. This tanking season seems more tense, exciting and dramatic than any Jet season we have seen in quite awhile. With the Jags refusing to win every week seems like a playoff game.
He is definitely better than Geno Smith and Mark Sanchez. That is not enough to build around though. I really think Sam's mindset is what is holding him back right now and that is mostly due to Adam Gase and his overall poor situation with the Jets. Once he gets a fresh start in 2021, we should see the Sam we have expected to see. Unfortunately, that will likely not be in a Jets uniform. As for games the Jets can win, this Sunday's Raiders game is still a possibility. The Raiders have a lot to prove though and should step up. As for the Rams, Seahawks, and Browns? Unlikely wins for sure. Week 17 is a toss up, but if the Jets are (0-15) and Jacksonville is (1-14) at that time, I would do what needed to be done to lose.
Think the Raiders should win-- 1) Better coach 2) Better QB 3) Already had their "trap" game last week 4) They have a lot of weapons
First 2 years in the playoffs Sanchez was asked to not screw things up, this guy is lost out there....I really think they are exactly the same
That's fine and your opinion. I feel he has lost his confidence and is struggling and doesn't have a Head Coach or Offensive Coordinator or QB Coach to help him. It's embarrassing the lack of help and support this kid has been given. And now he gets all the blame? Now he is getting compared to Geno Smith and Mark Sanchez? Ridiculous. His current issues are fixable and will be fixed somewhere else in 2021. They are literally the opposites. Mark had everything, Sam has nothing. I was a Mark fan, but Sam is far superior in almost every way as a player. You can ruin a young QB though and perhaps the Jets have, but I still think Sam can bounce back next year.
I agree. Everyone seems to agree that a "qb-whisperer" can increase QB performance. Therefore the opposite should be true as well. As soon as Sam gets away from this walking POS disGrASE he should be better.
Two of my Favorite NFL teams..Silver and Black is where I will be at if fucking Gase comes back! Las Vegas is going to hang 40 points on us here lol
Geno Smith was in a no win situation where he wasn't developed properly but apparently no one "ruined" him.
I watched a lot of Geno Smith at WVU and he just never looked like he would be an NFL caliber QB to me, and he has not been one. I watched a lot of Sam Darnold at USC and he looked like a potential franchise QB in the NFL and the Jets have run him into the ground. Sanchez too. He never seemed like a great QB option for the NFL, but I thought the potential was there to be good and he never quite made it there. Still, he was better than people give him credit for. So I guess that is more based on opinions. I never expected too much from Sanchez, less from Smith and way more from Darnold. You are right though: Geno was in a bad situation too and played pretty well, especially his rookie season when he was thrown into the fire.
