Quinnen had a good game recording 4 solo tackles, 3 assists, 1.5 sacks, and a forced fumble in 52 snaps. Allen's knee kept him out of the game. Its the third game he has missed this season.

    Quinnen Williams

    23 tackles
    18 assists
    5 sacks
    2 forced fumbles
    441 defensive snaps

    Josh Allen

    7 tackles
    6 assists
    2.5 sacks
    397 defensive snaps

after yesterday you may need to add passes defensed

Quinnen may have more PD than Pierre did in his stay with us! :) From a quick check Q has more PD than Jamal does YTD!

Ya Q had two PDs yesterday. At the end of the year I'll put up all the stats including the obscure ones like QB hits, PDs, TFLs etc. Right now its just tracking the meat and potatoes of DL.

Also, Adams only has one PD. Q passed his season total in yesterdays game alone (though Adams does play tonight).

Quinnen Williams set career-high marks in QB pressures (6) and pressure rate (18.8%) in yesterday's loss to the Dolphins. This was his 3rd career game with 5+ pressures (all three coming this season). ➤ 2019: 5.8% pressure rate (18 QBP) ➤ 2020: 10.2% pressure rate (25 QBP)

Q was a menace yesterday. Get this man some pass rush help on the edges, he'll become unblockable. The game is starting to slow down for Q which is scary for opposing offenses.

I have to admit that I was wrong about Q. I wanted Allen and still might when all is said and done, but right now, Q is looking like the better of the two. Hopefully, he will continue to be. I'd rather be wrong and have the better player on the Jets.

Your post isn't aging well.....Sheldon Richardson was a headcase from day 1, I never saw it ending well with him.

Not only is he looking like the better of the two, he's looking like one of the best in the league at his position. By the numbers, he is. The eye test is starting to match it too.

I was (and still am) a huge fan of Q. Domination up the middle, directly into a QB's face, reeks havoc on the passing game AND the run game.

Edge pressure is great, but it's also the easiest pressure to scheme against. I can't even tell you how many times Brady simply stepped up in the pocket and avoided edge pressure, not just from the Jets, but from anybody. And Brady lost TWO superbowls to the Giants.....why? Dline pressure right in his face.

Outside of Lawrence Taylor, I'll take Arron Donald or Quinnen Williams up the middle any day. And twice on Game Day!

But now with Q in place on the interior, how awesome will it be when Joe D finally gets us a dominant edge rusher? QBs will have no where to hide.

Happens to the best, and Im not close. :)

To be fair, Sheldon Richardson was a rather beastly wrecking machine in year two which was my main point of comparing (year 2 vs year 2)...

I’m happy the way he’s playing, he’s a great kid so I’m definitely rooting for him...

Yep, whoever we bring in on the edge is going to benefit from having Q in the middle.

Was very impressed with Q yesterday. He looked really disruptive. Top tier performance. If he comes close to that regularly then he's going to be a very good player for the Jets.

Q appears to be one of these guys who starts slow and needed time to learn the game.

I think he'll be on our team for a decade. Question is when do we lock him up ? Can we get him on the cheap rather than pay him off a career year when he might have 150 tackles, 10 sacks, etc. You don't want to pay him off a career year.

With some help at the edge, Q is going to go from being really good to an absolute force. He's one of the ones from this dismal team that's worth keeping, that's for sure.

This was the case the day we drafted him and it’s why the calls to trade him or labeling him a bust after an injury-filled rookie year was just insanity. Someone else said it in this thread, you can see a discernible difference between the way he’s playing now and the way he played last year because the game is slowing down for him. He’s really clicking on all cylinders and he’s only going to get better.

I also probably just jinxed it.

Just heard Q on ESPN radio earlier.

He admitted to sucking last year and credits a strict nutrition and working against Becton everyday to why he has gotten a lot better.

Quinnen had a decent game recording 3 solo tackles, 1 assist, and 1 sack in 64 snaps. The good news is that is the first time he has ever played 64 snaps so maybe his stamina is improving. Allen's knee kept him out of the game. Its the 4th game he has missed this season. He is expected to return next week against the Chargers. Go Jags!

    Quinnen Williams

    26 tackles
    19 assists
    6 sacks
    2 forced fumbles
    505 defensive snaps

    Josh Allen

    7 tackles
    6 assists
    2.5 sacks
    397 defensive snaps

In all fairness to Q he basically played on one leg last year. A high ankle sprain for a guy that big is no joke. The fact he played through it said a lot.

Are the expectations super high that a game he had yesterday is just a decent game? I mean I believe Bart Scott gave him a B+ as well so he didn’t think he was super amazing but he was still blowing up runs , had some pressures and a sack. So basically Q is a superstar now correct?
