This was the best game we’ve played all year seems like....we hit some big plays, nice finally having three WRs on the field instead of the V Smiths, J Smiths, J Malone’s of the world out there that being said, we okayed a nice game and STILL lost to a terrible Pats team but it sure do look like an intentional tank...no Darnold, no Q, pulled Becton early....and we send 12 men out on a FG try to keep it alive nicely done!
I thought the same thing....I KNOW Trevor is great, but still the backup puts up 40 points on a good (?) Notre Dame defense ? I think we'll know alot more about both TL and JF once that playoff thing starts and they each play Alabama and Notre Dame (again).
http://www.playoffstatus.com/nfl/nfldraftorder.html Just bumping this link so we can see what are %'s are to pick at each slot. 59% at #1. Still good. Really need the Jags to get a W somewhere along the line here...
I bet if Jags get 1 more win (2) it'll become a 99.9% chance in their statistical chances. Next week crazy as it sounds will be a great week for Jax to upset GB as -14 underdogs just like NYG almost beat TB and the 1 win Vikings beat them (@ the time); Vegas/NFL trap game in full swing.
I'm legitimately not seeing any more wins on our schedule unless we catch a team without their starting QB.
Jags play the bears, browns, titans and out of those 3 i would think the bears are the most beatable of the bunch. Thing to watch also is the jags are playing indy last week of the season. Currently, the titans are leading the afc south, but if there's a scenario where indy is looking at a playoff spot with or without a loss, perhaps they'll bench some starters? One way or another, the jets control their own destiny at to 0-16. 7 more games to lose and looking at our schedule, it's looking like a real possibility
Or Bears in December, esp. if they aren't in the playoff hunt. Honestly, those are the only 2 games I think the Jaguars have a shot.
It's funny....I'm reading papers from around the country for bad teams and they are all mentioning that their teams should tank or consider it....even Dallas ! They usually mention the Jets and the fact that they are 2 or 3 games behind them in the race for the #1 pick. Let's face it: we're lucky. In years you tank or stink, there sometimes isn't a legit player worthy of the #1 overall pick, including a QB. We have 2 QB's likely to go 1-2 this year.
We lived through that, 1996 taking Keyshawn #1. 1 QB was taken in the first 2 rounds, none in the 1st round.
These next 3 games are key against LAC, Miami and LV. If we can get to 0 and 12 the first pick should be looking pretty good.
Are the current SOS numbers based on opponents already played or is it already considering every opponent on the schedule? If so, the Jags SOS would go up dramatically because the have the hardest remaining schedule in the league.
