This Pats game tonight really scares me. If the Pats commit to full tank mode and lose out at worst they get the 2 pick. We really need to lose this game. In 96 week nine was our only win. We have never bern 0-9 before.
Jax has 11 picks in the 2021 draft. If we get 1 and they get 2, if may be worth flip-flopping with them, getting more picks and taking Fields or the OT (if JD is true to what he said about believing Sam is the future QB for this team).
Pats will attempt to win while ever there is a chance of a wildcard spot. I’m much more nervous about the next game when they are probably out of the running. All Belichick has to do tonight is make sure his team is less inept than we are. If he can limit the Cam Newton brainfarts then they should sneak it.
I can't believe I jumped for joy and screamed when Jax scored that TD at the end of the game only to scream again "WTF WAS THAT THROW?"
Also re: NE They are smarter than everyone else. They probably don't feel as though they need a round 1 QB. They are probably looking at FB in round one who will turn into Tomlinson/Jim Brown/Walter Payton I just don't see BB lowering himself to the level of the "plebs" to deliberately tank for a mere QB.
I mostly agree but I will never underestimate the ability of Belichick to F us over. With their injuries and opt outs they are going nowhere this year. If he wants to commit to draft Trevor now is the time to do it. If they lose out at worst they get the 2nd pick. One Jax win and they get the 1st. Outside the Denver game this game might be our biggest obstacle in achieving a perfect tanking season. Either way it's going to feel weird rooting for the Pats.
Over the last month, the most the Jets have scored in a game is 10 points. There will be no need to root for NE tonight. Just root for no injuries.
I was watching Justin Fields this weekend, and he looked pretty good. If the Jets win a game or two and drop to #2 overall, I could still see the Jets moving on from Sam and taking Fields. Also, Clemson looked pretty darn good on offense without Lawrence. Does that concern anyone that they are just a juggernaut no matter who is their QB? Lawrence certainly looks great though.
The pats looked so bad. I hope they somehow beat the Ravens and are in this until the end of the season.
Yes baby yessss the Tankathon and our NYJet hopes of the #1 pick and Trevor Lawrence continues!!!! That was by far the greatest Jets loss any of us have ever experienced! 1.) Jets; 0-9. 2.) Jaguars: 1-7. 3.) Everyone else (complete long shots). Giants 2-7. Dallas 2-7. Houston 2-6. Washington 2-6. Chargers 2-6. Bengals 2-5-1.
With Fields or Lawrence we’ll be fine, a good qb is going to make a big difference. Our Rooks are really coming together and with all those picks for the next two years, we’ll be in good shape.
