The most unanticipated jets/pats game in a quarter century. Both teams could be trying to lose for a draft pick. How 2020
Wrong. I would rather Sam played ala ranked 32nd and dead last amongst all NFL QB. Sam gives us the best chance to lose and I bet the rookie James Morgan is much better than Sam the bust.
Holding Sam out on the off chance he gives us a slight hope of an upset win maybe? Typical when there is a chance that Mims, Crowder and Perriman may all start!
Come on Brook, how are you suppose to Tank by beating the Pats? There are too many teams tanking already tanking. Don't be the scorpion on the frog. These are very weird times. There are people in the Boston airways advocating that the Pats get Sam after the Jets get Trevor. If the Pats were to lose to the present Jets, I think Pats fans would really be depressed. I, on the other hand, will just laugh it off. When it is all said and done, this game doesn't mean anything. Honestly, if the Jets were to win this game and not get Trevor, would you not be pissed?
The only problem is that there are so many other teams tanking also. Jacksonville only has 1 win so far. They are your #1 competitor for the tank contest.
Jets: -144 point differential (-18.0 per game). Jags: -68 point differential (-8.5 per game). The Jaguars aren't even a concern/competitor; Jets landing the #1 pick and Trevor Lawrence is a guaranteed lock for our longtime suffering fan base. We'll also have A+ available cap space and the most draft picks of any team over the next 3 years in order to build around our Franchise and Generational QB; with an already Franchise LT in Mt. Becton already in place in to protect his blindside for many of years to come.
The biggest threat to getting Trevor Lawrence may not be the Jags. It may be Joe Douglas. If we get the #1 pick, he's gonna have a career defining moment. Trade the #1 and surround Sam Darnold with top talent for a decade, or use that haul to draft Trevor and be right where we are now....good QB playing on a terrible team. hmmmm.....decisions decisions
But surrounded with coaches that know WTF they are doing. This more than anything will define how the new QB looks, tbh KC sat Mahomes for a year and it has worked out, Burrows and Herbert are proving currently that you do not have to sit for a year and neither of them has a shit ton of talent to work with, it is this sad fact that nails the coffin lid tightly on Sam.
yes true, but both the Bengals and more so the Chargers do have better receivers and RBs and TEs than we do. We do not have a Keenan Allen or a Joe Mixon, etc. just saying...
We should lose this one: -No Darnold -No Quinnen Williams -No Avery/Cahsman -Receivers are probably not 100% even though they're active Patriots suck, but we are worse and down our best players
Wild Bill has spent the last 20 years tormenting the Jets and the Jets fans. Unfortunately, I don't think the tormention ends tonight. Jets 26, NE 12 Jets win the game but lose TV. Wild Bill sleeps well tonight.
They also have shite OL's something which has been used to paper over Darnold's faults for the last 2 years.
