Difficult question. Okay not so difficult I was kidding. My message was towards DWC not others. Everything goes in this thread except DWC's endless journals on why Lawrence is better than anybody else. There are tons of threads for him to turn this into a piss match.

Gotcha, thanks.....just didn't want to know I risked a suspension if I joined a slighlty-OT bunch of posts within this thread.

Since you are here, what are YOUR thoughts on this ? You can't possibly want a few wins in the last 8 games moving us below #2....I presume you want 1 or 2 or even to go 0-16 and guarantee #1 ?

It sucks, but I have been suffering 50 years. I can suffer another 8 or 9 weeks if it means 12-15 years of coming to this website on Sundays and EXPECTING to win most of the time !

I'm actually going to start looking at the schedule and see now if Ohio State and/or Clemson games are on TV. Only games I seem to run into scanning the TV are Notre Dame and Alabama.

I want #1 pick no doubt. And I have been going back and forth about Monday night.
On one hand I want to embarrass Bill and cause them a 5th loss in a row on National TV on another hand I know a win wouldn’t really help Jets long term.

I hope we either get the first or second pick. I am with you.

    P.S - Dear DWC. I really don’t need a 10
Paragraph response from you on why I should root for a Pats win monday night.

    Dwc would do that too

I know you weren't talking to me, but my own opinion is to just get the first overall pick in general. If that takes 0-16 then so be it. My friends already taunt, and tease me enough. I don't think it could be worse.

    it could get worse.

we have seen in recent years where the jets win a meaningless game that results in them sliding down the draft order.

i remember one where rex beat the titans in nashville, and the jets slid out of the 2nd pick all the way down into the 6-10 range.

also, keep in mind that if a bunch of teams have the same low number of wins, the jets strength of schedule ( hard) also knocks them down in that list also.

I meant it couldn't be worse than being 0-16. So screw it.

understood. but, after suffering such a bad team in a year where no fans can attend a game in person,

getting the 1st overall pick in every round of the draft is taylor-made for an extensive rebuild project.

Right. It would be perfect. At this point even if you're a fan of a 2 win team, you should be rooting for good games with a loss by 1 for that reason.

I think we're all doing that lol.

Who concerns you the most? I really feel like the Jaguars will go 1-15.

You are unfortunately correct in that. As long as it happens I will be happy. I don't care when it is.

Rosen was only starting his second yr. cheap contract. Did show a few signs his rookie yr just not too much. Sam is the worst starting qb in the NFL right now, The problem is he has had 3 yrs to prove something and he has done nothing. we get more than a 4 for Sam JD is really doing his job. If Sam suddenly starts making plays and leading us, then he is would be worth more, however we would then have to keep him as we would not be getting Lawrence or Fields

I missed the game (watching OT now) but I see that Clemson put up 40 points on #4 Notre Drame WITHOUT TL.

How soon before folks start worrying about how good he is vs. having a great team !! :D

Wonder if Dabo has a QB controversy....... :D

How the hell did Jacksonville beat Indy in Week #1 ? That win MAY cost them Trevor Lawrence.

I just looked at the rest of their schedule: they may not win another game except the game tomorrow vs. Texas (hope they do win it, since I think Texans win a few more later on anyway)...and maybe the Bears in December.

Jaguars are a legit 0-16 team with 2 lame ducks at Coach and GM.

    Na. You're absolutely wrong.

And if you had watched the game you would have realized that Clemson had to settle for a lot of FGs instead of TDs on one too many drives (drives that TL would have converted into TD).

Clemson under TL is 35-1. In 36 games they've only ever lost ONE game with Trevor.

They are now 1-1 without him. In 2 games without TL they've already lost ONE game!

What QB controversy? One QB (TL) is an absolute winner and the other (his backup) isn't.

    One QB is 35-1.
    The other is 1-1.

    And you're talking "controversy"?
