Guys. This is the thread to discuss where Jets will pick up in 2021 draft. I know you guys want to discuss different things but please leave this thread to draft pick number for 2021 discussions. Cheers. Brook!
That's simple. https://www.espn.com/nfl/standings/_/group/league Is all anyone has to do (not hard). I'll respect what you're saying but at the end of the day the ONLY reason any of us care about the "Tankathon" is because of YOU KNOW WHO and I'll leave it at that.
Okay. You are on your last leg to be banned for 3 months. Stop barking at my warnings. If you bark at this, find a hobby for 3 months. Enough with your bullshit.
Ok Brook! Let's get back on track with the Tankathon talk... Jets: 0-8. Giants: 1-7. Jaguars: 1-6. Houston: 1-6 (belongs to Miami). Jets vs. Patriots. Giants @ Redskins. Texans @ Jaguars.
Thanks. See. Not that hard right? Discuss the Tankathaton and leave your obsession with Trevor to other threads and Draft Forum.
Giants have been in many of their games, so I expect they get another win or two or even three by seasons end Jaguars REALLY Concern me as their remaining schedule is every bit as daunting as ours....don’t know if that will help on our SoS tiebreaker by the end, but we REALLY need them to eke out a win against Houston this week, as they may lose every other game Houston hopefully will get a few more wins....they do have a pretty good QB in Watson and some talent even after Bill O’Brien tried to give it all away so Go Giants, Go Jags, and Go Pats I’ll feel a lot better with a two game deficit than I do today
For those that are rooting for the tank, here is some god news: Looks like Gilmore and Guy are active for the game! Big Baby Williams and Cashman look long shots for us on defense....if Pats move the ball this should be a loss.
Wait a second Brook....are you saying we can only discuss the draft order and the schedule the rest of the way....if things are slow we can't segue into the options at #1 (assuming we have the overall 1st pick) ?? Suppose we have the #1 pick wrapped up by Week 15.....at that point, it's a fait acompli, right ? Only disucssion is draft TL or trade the pick. Or talk about other team's draft positions. Thanks !
Guys.....I don't know how old many of you are, but I remember the 1984 tank job that the Pittsburgh Penguins did to get Mario Lemiux. It saved the franchise....it was either Lemiux or Kirk Muller.....which was like the difference between Joe DiMaggio and a AAA player ! So believe me, it'll be worth it. Assuming we get TL.....not sure how good JF is although if we can get a haul for him if we finish #2, it wouldn't be bad. Probably can get three #1 picks (including a Top 7 this year) and a pair of #2's. Maybe a bit more. Or we can just take that Sewell tackle.
Albert Breer of SI had a review of every team with 2 wins or less and only 1 or 2 teams would NOT likely take TL at #1. Even Miami and Chargers he had dealing Tua and Herbert: https://www.si.com/nfl/2020/11/05/nick-saban-talks-tua-tagovailoa-nfl-debut Scroll to the section entitled THE BIG QUESTION.
I would be SHOCKED if the Giants don't win 3-5 games. They have actually been playing pretty well. I would NOT be surprised if they win 10 games next year and the division or make the playoffs. Classic team that if they improve by 1 TD a game they can flip 5-6 games next year. The Jaguars scare me. I almost wonder if Khan has told his GM (thank god we didn't get Caldwell !) and Coach to not worry about tanking -- get me TL or JF. There's no pressure on the coach and GM down there -- it's NOT NY. Because Marone was not saving his job with 3 or 4 wins, so if I'm the owner, I probably told him once making the playoffs was out, just lose, baby.
The whole thing is if you are going to sit Lawrence do it behind a decent NFL QB. Sam is done in NY Right now he is the worst starting QB in the nfl. Career wise he has done nothing. He is not a guy you want anyone learning anything from right now. Can he become a decent qb in the nfl, maybe but the window is closing fast. He also always seems to have the injury bug following him around. A new head coach means new oc and system so Sam loses out again. All we can hope for is to play sam and hope he shows something, which might lead to a win or two. Then we lose out on Lawrence or Fields. I would rather get Lawrence or Fields and trade Sam for a late 4 or 5. The fins already set the market when they traded Tannyhill for a 4th. Whose career number at that time were much better than Sams
The Cards got a 2 and 5 for Josh Rosen. The Jets can quite possibly get a #1 pick or a #2 that becomes a #1 from a team plus another pick. Don't discount the possibility of a bidding war. The media LOVES Sam and the reviews out of college were great. Teams that are ranked from 1-16 are NEVER going to finish in the Top 5 to get a top prospect with only 3 years of treadware.
Hes talking out of his butt trying to make it seem like teams do this often because it happen a few times. Why would the Chargers trade Herb with the way hes been playing and showing hes pretty much a franchise QB you can build on. Same with Miami if Tua keeps showing hes the truth, maybe thats why they made the decision to get ahead start and see what he can do before having to make that decision. Out of the two Miami is the only one I can see trading a recent high draft pick and picking another one depending on how Tua looks, but Herb isnt going anywhere that kid can ball.
Because Lawrence is a sure thing and everyone else is a possibility or probability. IMO, the Chargers COULD -- assuming he continues to play well -- turn down Lawrence for a bunch of picks and stay with Herbert. I am not sure the Dolphins could unless Tua takes a sharp turn upward.
Yes! But also no. Without Meatloaf this would be sitting in a file cabinet somewhere, never to be heard.
fins set the market on qbs ruined by Gase but I think Arizona set the market when they moved Rosen for a two. Hope we get more than a 4.
