The Giants have played their hearts out tonight it's ashame that Daniel Jones has played really bad tonight or else NYG wins this game by 10+. With that said that as I'm typing DANIEL JONES just stepped up big time with a TD a beautiful throw @ that what a way to REDEEM yourself as I was beginning to trash you lol Huge two point conversion coming up here!
Man Jones reminds me of Darnold in that he can make his own plays but can’t play in the pocket. Darnold is actually more accurate but less athletic.
The refs were very helpful in the Bucs win. Horrible officiating. Giants much much better coached team than the Jets,
This game was so one sided in favor of Tom Brady's TB Buccaneers it was disgusted and makes you sick but at the end of the day it was Daniel Jones who tossed two bone headed INTs. Oh well. Giants remain at only 1 win. I really am worried about these 1-7 Giants and their tank. There are only so many close games that a 1-7 team loses before becoming disheartened and completely throwing in the towel on a season. 4 pt loss to Chicago. 3 point loss to Dallas. 1 point loss just last game vs Philly and now tonight a disgusting 2 point loss vs Brady and his Refs. 4 close and heartbreaking loses for the Giants and they may not recover for a while moving forward; it's getting ugly over there in NYG too. Jets 0-8. Giants 1-7. Jaguars 1-6. Texans 1-6. A lot of people are worried about the Jaguars but I'm more worried about the Giants. Only so many close games you can lose @ 1-7 before you become distraught. Trevor Lawrence a Giant would make me absolutely disgusted just knowing that he's playing in our stadium but for another team (NYG) it would make me sick for 15-20+ years when thinking about it.
This is a more interesting chart as it breaks down probabilities to hit each draft slot. http://www.playoffstatus.com/nfl/nfldraftorder.html
I would love to win 2 games and still get Trevor Lawrence. I don't see it happening, but you never know. My favorite part of that chart is the Jets have a 2% chance at getting the #8 pick in the draft. Meaning if everything goes pretty well the rest of the season, which is highly unlikely, they would still pick #8 overall. The Jets have a 73% chance of picking in the Top 3 with HALF the season left. Sad.
Thank you for posting. First priority is for the Jags to win one more if not two. That will significantly increase our odds. Strategically, IMO it would help if we trade Sam to SF today and start the rookie. Second, fire Gase as soon as we are within reach of the number one pick.
Seriously? Who were the two top 5 QBs the Jets have failed with in the last few years? Darnold and who else? The truth is that Darnold is the only top 5 QB we've taken since Sanchez 11 years ago. Geno Smith and Hackenberg were 2nd round picks. To think that Lawrence will fail because the Jets take him is defeatist, SOJ thinking. If you really believe that, then why are you still a Jets' fan? I don't understand blind allegiance to a team when you have no hope. If Douglas turns out to be a dud, I'm done with this clueless team. I'm no masochist, and am not going to wallow in misery, become bitter and jaded, and keep rooting for a team that has no hope. We have a new GM now, and will have a new HC and CS next year. Douglas isn't a buffon and totally clueless like Mac and Idzik. If he gets to hire the new HC, then we will have a quality HC and CS. Douglas will continue rebuilding the OL and will build around Lawrence. There is no jinx around the Jets that will doom any and all QB prospects. The others failed either because they were never that good a prospect to begin with or because the Johnsons are morons and had hired incompetent GMs and HCs, who in turn hired incompetent CSs. They finally got it right when they hired Douglas.
An elite or franchise-type QB isn't going to get rattled and do stupid shit. He knows better. He might get rattled in one game, but isn't going to stay rattled and lose confidence. He will get in the HCs face, the GMs face, and the owner's face and demand that they fix the team. Sam is too laid back and too dumb.
Why would you like to win 2 games? What does that accomplish except destroy our ability to get Lawrence and hinder our choices in every other round?
I’m going to be really mad if the jags tank properly and the Jets don’t. We have the same excuse to start our fresh rookie QB against the pats as they do to start their against the Texans.
