More than half those incompletions were point blank drops 2 of which were dropped TDs.

My guru. I thought Fields was hanging on the ball too long and not surveying the field before throwing passes. I soured on him a little.

Do you think these issues can be fixed with proper coaching?

I think he has only little over a dozen or so college starts so I suspect it should improve in time.

How does Fields compare to Haskins. Thats my biggest concern with Fields. He reminds me too much of Haskins.

Haskins was pretty much a statue. Fields is far more mobile.

Fields seems accurate to me but I do agree with many here that he seems to play "slowly". Is he actually a slow processor or does he just have so much time behind the OSU line that he can afford to hold the ball for a long time? I'm not sure yet but I'm also not sure either one is a good thing.

We've whiffed on too many QB's that I've talked myself into despite not loving the film. Lawrence is my clear #1 pick but I'd probably still take Fields if it comes down to him or Darnold.

Who ever voted for Fields over Lawrence doesn’t know what they are talking about. I’m not sure if I’d take Fields in the first round.. he reminds me of Baker Mayfield. Plus Buckeye QBs are destined to bust with the offence the run.

I told everyone on here we should draft Josh Allen but I got trashed for that. Also wanted DK Metcalf who I knew was going to be unbelievable but got laughed at.

When I look at prospects I look for the “it” factor. Trevor Lawrence in my opinion is the best prospect I’ve seen since John Elway. He has the physical and mental attributes you look for.

From what I've seen, Fields is a lot more athletic and mobile than what Haskins was/is.

Justin Fields has more TDs than incompletions this season.

He's having an amazing first 3 games thus far although it's been against cupcake laughing stock defenses but nonetheless the kid can't control his SOS and is absolutely balling out of control early on.

Penn State has one of the weakest D's within the Nation this year and are 0-3 because of their defense ala 36 points allowed vs Indiana, 38 points allowed vs. Ohio State and just today 35 points allowed vs MARYLAND!

I like Lawrence, but a case can be made for Fields as a better pro prospect if he keeps it up. Fields has the highest single season QBR in college football history. Here’s some other guys who cracked the top 10 - Russell Wilson, Andrew Luck, Joe Burrow, Kyler Murray, and Tua Tagovailoa. Lawrence is ranked 35. The days of the 6’4+ protypical power thrower in a conventional NFL offense is not what it once was. I do think Trevor can be more...

    BUT

Spread “college” offenses are now the best “NFL” offenses...

Who’s to say that if you hire a guy like Eric Bieniemy or some other Air Raid coach with a vision of the offense they want to run they don’t want Fields over Lawrence...

I've seen enough of Fields to where I'd definitely support taking him if we can't get Lawrence. I'd still greatly prefer Lawrence though.

Lawrence has just been a winner his entire life. Guys like that expect greatness out of themselves and cannot stand losing. I have faith he'd do everything possible to turn our franchise around. Seems to be a great teammate by all accounts too.

This happened with Lamar Jackson also.

Nobody comes into the NFL as a can't-miss prospect when everything around them is wrong. Natural talent however does very well when the team does whatever they need to do to help the guy succeed.

Pat Mahomes could easily have blown out if he didn't go to KC and Andy Reid. Put him in NY with Todd Bowles as the HC and a carousel of offensive coordinators his first few years and the odds on him being good go *way* down.

It's easy to forget that one of the best QB gurus in the business decided that Mahomes could use nearly a full season on the bench before carefully inserting him in a low-pressure situation late in his rookie year.

The Chiefs had already clinched their playoff spot when Mahomes started game 16 in 2017.

Fields plays behind a much better OL and WR currently. Hope he doesn’t have the USC QB syndrome lol. But seriously, both are can’t miss. Trevor has a bigger arm and a touch more upside with size whereas Fields is just a sure thing,
    Nothing flashy.
