The Jets will lose but I don't think it will reach a college football score blowout. Reid is a class act so I don't see him running up the score. The Jets will probably lose something like 38-14 but KC won't score 50 or so.
I hate to look past games, but next week hosting the Patriots on Monday Night Football may be really difficult for the Jets to lose. The Patriots are terrible. Edelman now is out with a knee injury. If they lose to Buffalo on Sunday they would drop to (2-5) and may turn their view to the draft too. We talk about Trap Games, but the Jets have 2 left against the Patriots. I think it will be really tough to lose both. The Jets could win both.
I’m with you... We need shit like that to FORCE the Johnson’s hand. we can’t have ANY wiggle room for CJ to say, well...we played them tough...they ARE the champs you know! No moral victories we could also use a bunch of finger pointing by the players. We need this to get way uglier than it is to force a change but yeah..I would LOVE to see Bell go off and show CJ that Gase is clueless
If anybody at the Jets had a brain they would make sure Bellicheat never got his hands on a FQB ever again. I thought that was why JD took Morgan tbh but that could have just been gossip, he did trade picks with them in the draft.
After all these years of losing to the Patriots, it would be peak Jets to finally beat them in the year where we need to lose to get the #1 pick.
Yeah, that is what I was discussing with my friend. Every year I worry about how the Jets can beat the Patriots, and now this year I am worried that they actually will beat the Patriots. It sucks, but that is where we are right now!
So Crowder is out with the groin and Perriman is out with the concussion. Sucks because last week jets were close to having their full compliment of WR's. It's Mims, Jeff Smith, Berrios, V.Smith, Malone and I suppose Cager.
Now Gilmore is hurt and his status for Sunday's game at Buffalo is uncertain. If the Bills win then NE at 2-5 could enter the Lawrence sweepstakes. The Jets might have a shot against the Pats. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.c...-gilmore-tweaks-knee-at-practice-on-thursday/
Yeah, I think if Mims is on one side, Jeff Smith on the other, and Berrios in the slot, it is still a functioning offense. Send Vincent Smith deep on a few patterns too. Run with Perine and Gore. Should use Ty Johnson more, but Gase is Gase. The offense needs to step up to even be in the game. If they can't do that, it could be a 30+ point lead for the Chiefs by halftime. Yeah, I don't think they will be bad enough to enter the Lawrence sweepstakes, but they will be bad enough to prevent the Jets from getting him if the Jets can beat them once or even twice. They may be able to draft Trey Lance or Justin Fields though, which could be Belichick's plan all along this season.
If anything the current crop of WR has more functioning speed but from what I recall I haven't seen many deep shots at all. Ty Johnson needs a longer look. Get these speed guys in some space smh.
I love how I get an article on my phone about Bell having a revenge game against the Jets. I'm like, revenge? The Jets paid the guy big money that no one else was going to give him and then instead of keeping him hostage on a team that is likely going to have between 0 and 1 wins, they let him go so that he can sign with the SB champions and contenders to win again this year. Oh yeah, really big need for revenge there.
How does Sam not throw at least 2 picks in this game? They’ll likely be down by double digits at some point. Sigh he’s become too predictable
Don't worry. We don't have the 32nd ranked and dead last rated NFL starting QB for nothing. Sam Darnold will see ghosts, again. And after our loss he'll then tell reporters that he's not consistently good enough to play in this league anymore, again. Trevor Lawrence can't come soon enough. I already can't wait until next year.
Heading into last week I predicted he'd throw 2 ints and fumble once. He tossed two INTs. Heading into KCs game I'll predict he throws 4 INTs and fumbles 2x.
