I have no clue what he is watching, you are the one who is assuming he said what he said because he watched the Jets. And what he thinks he doesn't want to go there now while he wants to go to another run of the mill shittiest team in the League with #1 pick?

I just go by what he actually says. And he said what he said not to get headlines, but because he was asked if there is anything that can change his mind and stay. To that he said that it is a tough one, and he does not know if anything can change his mind. The article is fake news. He said he is more than likely coming out, and doesn't know if anything can change his mind when asked this question. It's a non news, it's nothing we don't already know. Lawrence is more than likely coming out, but yeah, it is not 100%.

One thing is for certain, to watch this interview and conclude he must have said it because he watched the Jets, and they still haven't fired Gase, that's why he responded I don't know if anything can change his mind to leave school is a bit of a stretch even for the harshest Gase critic out there.

Making promises to a rookie QB to get him on your team is not a good move. It shows that management is weak. You can suggest that your intention is to build around him.....but no promises. Management has to show that they are in charge, not the draftee. A begging team is a weak team.

It was a bit of an exaggeration. But for a franchise that has drafted six defensive tackles in ten years in the first round and defensive players in ten of eleven years, I'd hope they make a conscientious effort to try to show the big gun they're going to take him. Don't forget. They followed up the drafts of their franchise quarterback with a 3rd round 26 year old defensive tackle and then DT & DE with their first two picks in 2019.

This is if Lawrence is the guy and they don't want Fields. There very well could be two elite options by draft time and this won't be an issue.

It's just the way of the #1 pick. Keep everyone guessing & on the edge of their seats to create news gossip. And show a sense of power that he's creating.

Very true, I wouldn't blink an eye about taking Fields if he was our option. Lawrence 1a, Fields 1b & 1/2.

I gotta watch him some more. I didn't catch that game this week I was watching a couple others. He worried me as a pro prospect last year because he + Dobbins were such a dynamic running duo that he was throwing to so many wide open receivers. Not that Lawrence doesn't throw to open receivers either but Fields is the much more agile runner (blessing and a curse when evaluating prospects).

This is even more reason to trade QW for a 1st round pick if possible; in order to show Trevor we're for real about building around him on OFFENSE!

Hey Trevor. We have 4 first round picks OUTSIDE of you and if you like? We can even draft your Clemson RB with our Seattle pick. And hey Trevor. We'll have an additional 3 first round picks after drafting your kid RB from Clemson. And hey Trevor. We've already got both Denzel Mims and a FRANCHISE LT in Becton here ready to protect you!

    1; Trevor.
    2; your RB
3.) You want a 1st round WR? Done (QW).
4.) You want a Center? Done (JD).
5.) You want an LG (DONE!)

And oh yeah. Trevor. We have A+ salary cap #1 in the NFL. You want another WR? Allen Robinson?!?!? DONE!

Fields has off the chart arm talent. Off the chart accuracy. Huge arm. Hes a star prospect for sure

Dude’s getting married, is graduating early, and the college experience is diminished by covid. 0% chance he returns to school.

Why would he destroy his career by coming to the Jets?

People keep trying to make something out of Lawrence going back to school, but I think that is 0% likely. What Jets fans should truly worry about is getting the right Head Coach for this franchise. After that, see what direction they want to take the team. I still think the Jets will win a couple games and the Jaguars will end up with the #1 pick. If the Jets do, they will take Lawrence. If not, see what the Head Coach wants. Keeping Sam should and likely is still on the table.

Read between the lines. Him saying we’ll work it out is him saying I’m not playing under Gase.

Good, if morbid, point. Wisconsin QB Graham Mertz is the latest college player to test positive for COVID-19. Let's just hope there is an NFL draft this year.

It doesn't even matter right now anyway.

We have to secure the number one pick yet. That's no sure thing. The Jets fuck up everything after all.

One thing at a time for me.
