It’s only the 3rd quarter, but I don’t know. Offense looked a little better, Sam may not be the answer, still having issues in the red zone. What do you all think about allowing Loggins to run the offense?
I think the offense looks night and day better than when Gase called plays. Darnold still sucks, which is a large part of our problem.
Darnold might be ruined beyond repair. He so clearly has the talent to be a good QB but it’s not gonna happen without a full year off, being a backup somewhere and actually learning how to play QB in this league. But let’s get real here, Loggains has been horrendous his whole career too. It’s not like we went from Fisher to McVay.
That isn't going to solve anything for Sam. He needs to play for a team where the o-line can block a high school level d-line cause right now our guards and center can't do that and it's getting Sam killed.
Dont give him a pass, a lot of this is on Darnold. He may have some physical talent but mentally hes not there. Physically hes inconsistent at best. Hes just not that good, the jets didnt ruin him, he was never the answer. Many of us are just seeing it now. When is it time to chalk up Darnold as just another very high wasted draft pick? He still makes the same mistakes high school players make. Not very good high school players at that.
The first half showed he's there. The second half showed that there's nothing any NFL caliber QB can do when the o-line stops being able to block.

The oline wasn't that bad the entire second half. A large part of that was on darnold. He holds the ball way too long and isnt seeing the field. The Oline shouldnt have to hold for 1 min. Check out the elite qbs, see how long they hold a ball. Id wager you check the stats of all the top QBs vs low quality qbs and compare the time they hold the ball. Bad QBs hold the ball much longer. Dowell Logains is the biggest fucking joke in the NFL. Not 1 player on that offense takes him seriously, let alone anyone else in the NFL. He is Gase’s little bitch. Once Gase becomes unemployable, or takes a lesser job where he has no control of hiring staff, all Logains will have are his King of Queens royalties.

There were a few plays that were on Darnold but the OL had a very bad second half. Pretty bad game really, but they were undoubtedly worse in the second half. That’s what happens when you have a coaching staff that has never made an in-game adjustment in their life.
No there were more than a few plays on Darnold, that second half was largely on him. He does not see the field well. Im not saying gase is good, but stop blaming him for Darnold not being good The oline isnt great but they are not the reason sam sucks, he sucks because he just does.
