Why would one game change anyones opiniom on Gase?Posts like this just dont make sense.Gase would have to go on a magical run and win the Superbowl for my opinion to change about him.Gase is a bad coach this week and for the rest of his time as a head coach.
You can fix a lot of things but you cannot fix bad character. Gase's amazing fragile insecure personality will always be his Achilles heel.
No...I'd STILL be UNSURE if he's a good coach or if this is a bad team. Ryan Tannehill's breakout in TN continues to bother me, but Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald continues to insist the seeds were planted by Gase.
In a strange way, I sort of feel bad for Gase (if it's possible to feel bad for someone who is making $5 MM a year while none of us will earn that probably in the next 10 or 20 years combined).....but damnit, I want the kid from Clemson.
Even Richie the K won some games. Gase is worse. Besides, no way in hell they win today or any other day this season for that matter. Oh I get it, a rookie WR who has never stepped on the field is going to make that much of a difference? The QB that everyone wants to run out of town is going to make that much difference? The LT with a banged up shoulder is going to be playing at 100% LOL Just stop. 0-16.
I was actually thinking of calling in to Evan & Joe or Michael Kay and telling them to get Salguero on their programs to discuss Gase. Salguero covered him daily for 3 years.
A leopard doesn't change its spots. Gase is a bad HC...in fact, he's a bad coach, period. The only thing more depressing (as a Jets fan) than having Gase as a HC, is knowing the people who hired him still own the team. He should've never been hired. He should've been fired after 4 games last year because we saw all we needed to see about his coaching "ability". He should've been fired at the end of the season, but the Johnson Clowns were still enthralled with his "genius". And he should've been fired after the mini-bye. That he continues to be the HC provides more proof - as if any were needed - how ignorant the Johnson Clowns are. So, no, winning today - or any day - will not change my opinion about Gase.
A single win against a skidding team after six straight losses, five by double digits, and only having scored six touchdowns all season?? Is that the standard of acceptable performance this team has sunk to?
20 years at $250,000 a year...who here is making that kind of dough? I'll never feel bad for this guy. And he's f'ing smug!
With the (not so) alarming putrid results a Gase coached team is putting up week after week, you're worried about my opinion?
