Is anyone else pissed off that he’s publicly expressing his happiness of leaving? I totally get it, but still pisses me off! That said, he was leaving anyway this offseason. Cash him out, try and figure out if someone on roster can take his place! Beyond Darnold and Becton, trade EVERYONE!
Jets Pass Defense with Poole involved? lol. What pass defense?!?!? Oh. So you guys wanna give me a hard time and tell me to look @ Seattle's pass defense when I missed Adams? Lol. Well look at our pass defense with POOLE! 20th in catches allowed. 22nd in QB Rating allowed against. 23rd in passing yards allowed per game. 29th in points allowed per game. 31st in completion percentage allowed against. Etc. Etc. Please stop acting like guys such as Marcus Maye or BRIAN POOLE are some type of secondary studs; because they aren't! #33 was the only secondary player worth a damn and worth keeping long term. But we traded him for two 1st round picks. Guys like Poole who's already 28 and not drafted by the Jets MUST GO TOO! And for draft picks at that. I've never hated a Jets defense dating back to Bill Parcells days as much as I hate this current 2020 defense and there is truly not ONE Jets defensive player who i even LIKE anymore which makes me hate my username everyday I look @ it I hate it more and more. Fk Brian Poole he stinks like everyone else and I'll be glad to see JD trade him for a bag of chips. 28 years old. Undrafted. 5th year in the league. 0 All Pros. 0 Pro Bowls. Our Pass Defense has sucked since he's arrived. Etc. Etc.
This was posted @10:18...I agree poolempostinf that don’t look good, but isn’t it weird no other insider/reporter has posted anything?
slot corner is a valuable position. This guy had a good to very good year last year, wasn’t believe to be overly expensive and was only 27. All good to very good things. The fact that he: A-got a low $ offer B-it was only for one year C-nobody besides us wanted him D-we May have only gotten a 5 which is closer to a 6 tells us all we need to know about him
Surprised you can still type while fondling Adam's ball sack tbh. But man, in all that tripe I found something else we fully agree on.
Poole is statistically one of the best corners in the league and if you’re watching the games, he’s also passing the eye test. You can say that if we are tearing it down, trade guys on one year deals but to pretend like he isn’t good is just flat out wrong.
Not pissed at all. This franchise is a complete trainwreck. A career-ruining trainwreck. He’s 28, he’s a top tier player at his position... he SHOULD be thrilled to get out and with the way the organization treats its players, he is more than justified celebrating publicly. Assuming he’s actually traded.
Gives me and thousands of other Jets fans excuse to finally drop our fandom for this team. If the Jets can't see that Adam Gase is not only the worst Jets HC of all time, but one of the worst HCs in NFL history, then they don't deserve to have fans.
As dog shit as this team is if you're going to rebuild you need a plan and capital to execute it. By the time this rebuild is done Poole will very likely be past his prime. Getting something for him and not wasting his career on the Jets is the best thing for everybody. Fuck the Johnsons Fuck Adam Gase
I hike it is. For what it’s worth, some guy that nobody has ever heard of on the ravens liked his post and commented “welcome to the team”
Bets post I’ve seen on here in awhile. I get it guys, it sucks. We suck. This season is lost. It what good does a 28 year old non home grown cb get us? everyone has to go except the 23 year olds if we can. It’s a full rebuild. The only lingering question is what to do with Sam?
I hated the Ted Cottrell Defense that had all the talent in the world, but couldn't tackle to save their lives. As I recall, they led the league in passing defense! But only because they had the worst rush defense in the league, so nobody ever needed to attempt a pass. *Looking at the stats, this was 2003, and they ended the season #2 in pass defense and #31 in rush defense, because Jay Fiedler lit them up for over 300 yards in the last game of the season. Ricky Williams must have been too high that day.
I think people are more pissed that after 5 years of rebuilding, we are still in a spot where we are trading away all-pros, top-tier players and starters because it makes no sense to keep them.
In terms of play, Poole is definitely a keeper, but in terms of what he will probably be looking for contract-wise, not so much. Granted, the Jets don't have anyone else to pay at the moment, but that could change dramatically in FA. I really like Poole, and if he is indeed traded, I wish him the best, but I'd much rather spend the cap space and $s on Allen Robinson or Chris Godwin (or another FA WR at or about that level) or a topflight OG than Poole.
